    Default Worst kept secret places?

It appears there are lots of not very secret secret bases in comics not to mention publicly known bases that should be private.

The first that comes to mind that is supposed to be secret is Batcave and for publicly known bases I think of X-Men Mansion.

What bases in comics are worst offenders when it comes to this?

What was cool about the X-Men... back in the day... before they went public under Morrison's pen, was that Xavier's School had this cover as a school for 'gifted youngsters'. So there was an aspect of 'hiding in plain sight' to their headquarters.
It's still something of a dodgy concept, since 'gifted' usually means intellectually prodigious, so I feel sorry for all the kids/parents who applied for enrollment in the school, only to be rejected by Professor Xavier. What would of been his excuse? 'Sorry, your kid is not "gifted" enough, even though he/she has just completed junior high level classes at the age of 10 and has composed 5 operas.'?

Not really. Prior to going public is was a very small school and they never went out of their way to advertise the school's existence. I doubt non-mutant applicants would have been a problem.

Indeed. In fact, it wasn't a school that could ever be applied to. Enrollment was by invitation only.

Yeah, but the problem of the X-mansion is that, before it was outed, every single major villain and opponent of the X-men knew that this was their "secret" HQs, so it wasn't really working.
That's right! Al Gore invented the internet, let's all go kick his ass!

I got your inconvenient truth right here, motherf*&¨%!

Agreed. I do not know why that was believed to be smart idea.

Adding to my original question of secret base worst offenders, what are best bases in comics?

Well... I don 't know much about bases, but Wonder Woman's invisible jet is a pretty big offender. Maybe she made it invisible because someone painted it pink?

For publicity known bases the Baxter Building? Especially seeing how civilians live there, also the Jean Grey School.
As for supposedly secret bases Batwoman's cave? Seeing how the military pretty much just waltzed in.

Never understood the point of that plane. I mean, ok, cool trick.

But you can see the damn pilot. So much for stealth.
