Default What Did You Think of DCAU Wonder Woman?

Simple question but give reasons. I though she was great.

I thought she was a good character even if she felt underused.

She got a good bit of character development near the begining but Hawkgirl and Green Lanturn got the most character development in the show.

She was okay, I hated the relationship with Batman though. It did cause "This Little Piggy" but that episode just showed what good chemistry Batman and Zatanna had.

It handled the whole newcomer from the ancient world a lot better than a recent comicbook did. Otherwise I thought it was a good interpretation.

While it didnt resemble the WW I like (most of the time)
she was still a pretty good character for the show.
I never liked her "relationship" with Batman. It never made any sense to me. There was no purpose to doing that.
I know the Power of the Dark Side.

I didn't find her to be likable; too haughty. Not to mention her becoming horny for Batman.

Stuck up, bad tempered and arrogant. Hawkgirl had even more compassion. Horny for Batgod sealed the deal. She was not very likeable I think. It shows the writers were more interested in Hawkgirl. I loved Zatanna more in her one appearance.

I had the same problem with her that I had with DCAU Superman - less inspiring than they should have been. To me, those two are supposed to be paragons of virtue and nobility. In DCAU, they were...well, they were definitely good people, but not exactly heartwarming saints or anything.

Hey Mother Teresa and Ghandi weren't inspired people despite their flaws, Like Nelson Mandella. They Maybe Icons but they are still people. I think they were Inspiring but still relatable in them not being Perfect people.

Much like Morrison's JLA, it felt like they didn't know what to do with her.

And other problem she shared with Superman (and almost any superpowered hero in a team setting): The only time I remember her looking powerful to me was when she was brainwashed.

Agreed! She rarely came off as a female Superman strength-wise in the series. They showed off her super strength only a few times in the series, but most of the time her fighting skills & Hawkgirl's fighting skills were interchangeable (at least IMO). They didn't show her animal empathy powers, they only showed her super speed once (Hawk and Dove), and her lasso finally was able to make people tell the truth in the 4th season (and this power was only used once -_-).

I gotta say I did not like her. She was moody, arrogant, stubborn, stupid, violent, angry and just a generally unpleasant person. Oh, and sexist too, which I found really off putting. She was a really caustic character and I couldn't understand why any of the other characters would ever spend any time with her or like her. Though I guess the writers did realise this later on since she “softened” up a bit in later seasons. But the writers clearly had no idea what to do with her, a problem that wasn't helped by them giving half her personality to Hawkgirl. And it also irked me that they only had two women on the main team and they had to hate each other.

Though I didn't mind her romance, such as it was, with Batman. The only thing that annoyed me about that was that it didn't have a conclusion. She should have realised that he was determined to be a sad, miserable git for the rest of his life and moved on.

I also didn't like their Amazons, Hippolyta (she was a pathetic wuss who kept getting knocked over) or Hades. But I did like Ares. Oh, and I really liked Circe, but not Cheetah or Giganta.

It's like she had a stuck but her butthole the whole time.My "favorite" moment is when a show host tells her she's dresses like a slut and WW gets so mad, she punches the t.v and breaks it.After that,She gets mad at the flash and GL.
