    Default Jonah Hex vol. 2?!

I have read rumors that coming in July 2013, (half-a-year away sigh...),
DC Showcase volume 2 of Jonah Hex may (really? really?) appear - which means we should hope for, look for, LOBBY FOR solicitations in May 2013. But perhaps now is the time to reassure poor old DC that YES! we are ready to purchase some wild western goodness.

My understanding was that there wasn't enough material to fill out another Showcase volume for Jonah Hex.

At least I think it was Hex. It's been years since the first volume came out.

Huh? There were 92 issues of his solo series and nearly 30 issues of Weird Western Tales, so I'm sure there is enough to fill out a second volume and probably 4 or 5 more.
The problem has been in the contracts that the writers and artists signed back then which makes it extremely expensive to reprint these western classics and many other comics from that era.

Is this the first of that wave of cancelled Showcases to get an actual Showcase? Like, Suicide Squad got that trade, SSoSV got those hardcovers, Great Disaster got that nice Atomic Knights collection. who's Who and Superfriends are still MIA.

Im a huge fan of the best western series i have read that was Gray,Palmiotti,Bernet Hex series and i would dream about a volume of Showcase. The little i have read of the 70s Hex in the reprints with Garcia-Lopez and co are very good.

Anything new real Hex is instant buy for me. Its sucks being new Hex fan of the recent years, i cant find collections of the old 70s series. They are so rare.

That's right. They came up against the magic 1976 number.

Now who was it that didn't have enough material? (This is going to drive me nuts....)
