However that doesn't mean you have to use them to alienate members of the long term fanbase just to bring in short term readers hell you've done that to me with Marvel Now! You've cancelled everything I read from Marvel and rebooted it or changed it to the point where I just don't care about it anymore. I used to say Make mine Marvel now it's Make Mine DC.
I wouldn't switch to reading only other companies' product now. There are other titles besides Spider-Man that are really, really good. Read Scarlet Spider if you haven't picked it up already. It's got some of the best character driven plots, supporting cast, and it's really a breath of fresh air. Mr. Yost just... gets it, in a way that very few other writers at Marvel seem to nowadays... Reading Scarlet Spider is like reading Ultimate Spider-Man: it's just good, and you can buy the issues without even needing to see a preview, because you know that it's going to hit it out of the park every single time...

Be that as it may I've never really cared for Kaine yes while he has become better as a character I don't feel like adding that book to my weekly comic expenses and besides I read dc on and off for years only reason I came back on a regular basis to DC again is the New 52 rebooting things so I can go along with stories not worrying about years of continuity and go in knowing that an end will come plus Batman has been insanely good much better than the majority of marvels titles have been in well years with the exception of Daredevil (leading up to and during Shadowland) and Invincible Iron man as of late I just keep loosing the love I have with marvel and the final straw that broke the camels back was cancelling Amazing Spider-man

I had walked away from Iron Man after the whole begging Doc Ock deal... that made me wanna vomit... They're slowly improving upon the title, so they're bringing me back to reading it. Daredevil has always bored me. I'm not really sure why, but it's just not for me. I love Scarlet Spider! I've got the poster, and I'm getting it tattoo'd on my hand... Batman has been incredible lately. DC's getting their stuff together. Green Lantern is getting stale again...

I am buying X-Men again with Marvel now, and I still have five DC books on my pull list (but they are more mainstream I guess, Batman, Batman Inc, Detective Comics, Action Comics and Flash). I should be better at trying out some of the smaller Comics, perhaps some indie stuff. But I like the old school super heroics. :-)

If Marvel doesn't start back at 701, I'd be very disappointed. I want to see a #1000 ongoing someday. Will Journey Into Mystery be the longest current ongoing after next week?
Pull-list: Action Comics, Batman, The Flash, Superman, Superman Unchained, Batman/Superman

I agree with everyone who have said that it'll be back sooner or later the only question of course is which numbering they'll use - personally I think they'll go with number 1.

As far as Superior Spider-Man is concerned I will wait and see what 700 is like before I decide whether or not to give it a try.

If you want to read something in the vein of classic Spider-Man, read Superman (NOT Action Comics).

Those issues read like a 60s-80s/early 90s issue of Spider-Man.

I totally agree. I like that it has some long running history and it shows in the numbers.
