Is DC comics more unethical than Marvel comics?

My friend told me DC comics was darker than Marvel comics. I use to read Marvel as a kid and it wasn't until I picked up some Crisis and started reading DC comics that I realized DC comics was darker. Superman spared a child molester and killer in the new 52. He didn't so much as put a scratch on him sent him to the police. Most Marvel comics superheroes kill and most DC comics super heroes don't. Would Marvel comics even have themes such as child molesters let alone let one live? Superman is suppose to be the poster boy for DC comics and if they got themes of child killers then I don't know what to say.

The whole point of killing off villains is so they wont kill dozens, hundreds, or thousands of people more in the future. DC superheroes are so irresponsible. They are incredibly selfish. They want a no kill streak to make their ego look good yet if they take one life they would save thousands.

So, in the real world, when a cop doesn't kill on the spot a child molester or murderer they just arrested, does that make him "incredibly selfish" trying to keep his no-kill streak clean?

Superman has faith in the justice system so he does this kind of nonsense very often, he's a boy scout with his moral high ground. Sometimes I can't stand this holier than thou attitude especially when he takes down a torturous dictatorial cosmic beast like Darkseid and right before the death blow Superman decides instead to lecture him. At times it's nice to see someone be really good like Superman, not be judge jury and executioner but you'd think once in a while he might consider capital punishment like Wonder Woman, Thor and the Punisher do.
Sometimes it really annoys me but i would say overall this doesn't bother me so much because DC's Superman has been consistently wrote that way

However what does bother readers is shock jocks like Geoff Johns writing a woman being molested and tortured or Bendis ripping out Ares guts and having it splashed all over the page like a Saw tortureporn movie
for no reason only to be shocking

Superman believes in the justice system, he's a superpowered boy scout with a holier-than-thou attitude

Wonder Woman and Punisher have different moral centers, Wonder Woman believes in Themyscira justice, step 1 punch their faces in and step 2 if they are really bad stab them with a greek weapon. Punisher, he just shoots people he thinks deserve it

Then why isn't Superman a vegetarian? He let's Darkseid live because he speaks English, but he eats fish sandwiches and fish evolved into humans if you believe in it so that makes him the biggest hypocrite ever. Except fish don't kills thousands of people so why doesn't he just eat Darkseid?

It makes perfect sense. Superman will kill livestock for food, and those livestock kill no one, but he won't kill Darkseid who is a mass murderer. DC is completely twisted when it comes to justice. Dr. Strange or Thor would gladly kill Darkseid to saves thousands of lives.

How does one say DC is worse than Marvel in ethics when it has a comic about a guy murdering a bunch of people? Mind you they were criminals, it is now canceled and it was an excellent comic, but murder is murder.
