Pretty happy to hear America's Got Powers is wrapping up (or at least trying to). Fun mini, but the delays have been killer.

In fairness, Hitch did some killer stuff at Marvel.

His Ultimates work was the bomb.

Hah. Bryan Hitch slamming Marvel, good stuff. Everything he's just said has made me feel like Age of Ultron is just going to be terrible.

With Mark Millar, who has become estranged with Marvel. Millar worked with Hitch to make the Ultimates.

Doesn't necessarily mean it was a good pitch or storyline.
Could have been, but we'll never find out.

Hitch will create new stuff, that's a cool deal,
but it's too bad he won't do MAN OF STEEL.

It's possible that the reason why Bryan felt so detatched from Age of Ultron was due to the secrecy behind the entire project.

Which is not to say that the regime change didn't also have a role in making Bryan feel somewhat alienated but after hearing the Marvel Age of Ultron conference Bendis and Brevoort seemed adamant in keeping a tight lid on story elements even to their artists to prevent anything from leaking.

But it is unfortunate to hear about Bryan not feeling more inclusive to the creative proccess, I think that's a real mistake since that can potentially make artists feel more like draw monkey's than collaborative partners. Hitch had a pretty good run at Marvel though with his Ultimates, Fantastic Four, Captain America Reborn, and Avengers/Ultron work. Perhaps one day he can do some work for them in a less strained environment.

Hitch makes working with Marvel sounds like a not-so pleasant experience.

Absolutely crazy as f#$%. That would have topped the charts.

Of course, how many issues would come in on time? I'm patient and all but Hitch isn't monthly and never will be. But, he must work non-stop. I don't think his is an issue of being lazy or slow. He's just a bit too talented. I'm sure Neary works his ass off inking those pages too.

I'm glad America's Got Powers is returning. It's a rad book and so far, I've really enjoyed it.

I think you won't see much that isn't creator-owned from Mr. Hitch. I just have that feeling.

That would of been awesome. But it could of been turned down due to the timing of the book, it was probably planned pre-OMD and wouldn't fit the status quo.
