Check out my spoilers thread, in which I also gave my own opinion on it. This is, by far, the cream of the crop of Marvel NOW! When I picked up the issue in the LCS, Thor: GoT was the stack with the fewest remaining copies. The owner told me people have been gobbling it up.

I don't know if the voting for best single issue of 2012 is over, but if it is, we're gonna have to do it again...

This has been a surprise hit for me. I'd go so far as to say this is best book Marvel is publishing. I love it so much.

I couldn't agree more. I've loved each issue and it's building in epic proportions. This issue is still accessible to new readers mostly because Thor is still learning about his enemy. The only thing that might be lost is the fact that this story is effecting Thor in three different timelines. The concept driving this story, that is, where do gods go when people stop believing, is something Neil Gaiman and others have touched on, but not in an action orientated epic sort of way. Anyone who enjoyed the Lord of the Rings movies will eat this series up. Everything is happening on a giant scale with incredibly well rendered art by Esad Ribic.

Without spoiling too much, I'm interested in how this issue's second to last panel plays into next issue.

To add to the chorus, this issue was a serious step up from issue #2. I would not have thought that possible.

Oh my sweet Gods of Asgard this issue was just BEAUTIFUL. Each page was just gorgeous. Please please please keep Ribic and White doing the art. This series continues to be one of my favorites.

Also I think it was a very smart idea for Jason Aaron to have Gorr not make a visual appearence in this issue.

i agree it keeps the tension and phantom like nature of the character intact, he has a brutal showing in #2 now this one he is out of sight and next he will undoutly show up, i Pray his origin lives up to what we have so far

Yeah, I just wish Esad Ribic was doing the art and Dean White on the Colors to give it the mystical feel of these last three issues.

I'm afraid it won't be as epic with Butch's art.
