Yes
No
Actually this is incorrect. Young Avengers began with 1 POC, 2 LGBT characters and 2 women... the new series still has (drum roll): 1 POC, 2 LGBT characters and 2 women. The diversity hasn't changed, only the colour of the POC has changed (which "suddenly" makes it so undiverse)
P.S. why is it comics like Young Avengers (which has gender, ethnic and sexual diversity) still get ripped on; but Generation X (which didn't have ANY sexual diversity as far as I recall) gets hailed as "great diversity"???![]()

But Young Avengers has a more diverse diversity.Gen X was wonderfully diverse... but it still lacked any LGBT characters (so it wasn't perfect... then again, what series is?). Young Avengers isn't perfect... but unlike Gen X, Young Avengers gets attacked for it's "lack of diversity"; which is odd, considering how Gen X had no LGBT characters... are POC in comics more important than LGBT ones???
No. I'm saying the ration of POC remains as it always has... with one. Why do you think a latina woman counts less as a POC than a straight black male in some posters eyes?
If Wiccan was replaced by a lesbian I wouldn't be happy (depending on who the character is, might soften the blow)... but I would never, EVER start calling the team "lacking diversity." That would be silly.![]()

GenX is not even relevant. The series is dead. Two POC Males are Dead from it. Jubilee is a depowered limbo vampire. Husk and Chamber are around. Monet is the only one who gets regular use.
I don't think anyone thinks that Latina Women count less then Black Male. More like this is another in a long line of Black Males getting screwed. See Avengers Arena for another one bites the dust while Hopeless creates 3 new white males.
That is what I thought.

No. They do not represent my race well and I don’t think they ever will. Not much more to say on that subject. Moving on to next topic.
Current List: Batman, Batwing, Earth 2 GLC, JL, Spider-Man, Avengers, Captain America, NA, SA, UC Spider-Man, Hawkeye
Saga, Shadowman, Thief of Thieves, Walking Dead, X-O Manowar
Nah u are not doing right. POC are 3/5 White Males

I won't buy something just because of LGBT characters, but it can create interest for me. It's one of the things I love about Wiccan and Hulkling, I love them as characters regardless of sexuality, but them being gay just makes me like them even more because it makes them more identifiable for me and they're about my age. But I haven't been buying Astonishing X-Men (although I did almost buy issue #50) or Batwoman because I don't really enjoy them that much.
I was really pleased with one of the early issue's of Waid's Daredevil because there's a gay couple in it at one point, but there's not a big deal made about it or anything, it just happens that the person DD is talking to is gay. Which makes sense because not everyone a superhero is going to help will be straight, so that small detail made me smile while reading
Although personally I still feel LGBT characters are still underrepresented in the MU.
Avengers Arena is one of the best books in the shops right now, it's seriously amazing.

Define 'minority'. Speaking globally, the largest ethnic groups in the world are Chinese and Indian. Does that mean whites are an ethnic minority?
