So wait, why isn't this a problem when the US says something like that?

O_o
Well, there was thing called the space race. And the US won it. This is well documented in history. And even in the comics the US has been repeatedly shown to be the first, or sometimes second behind the Russians, space program , i.e. the Fantastic Four.
Until yesterday, I literally had never seen anything about a Wakandan space program in a comic, much less one that was close to Russia or the US, or now, even China. Plus, where in a comic, has anyone boasted about the US program, while dismissing the Wakandan?

My body is NOT ready
I didn't read Klaws of the Panther. I don't care for Shuri. What did the Wakandan Space Program do? Did they have astronauts? A space station? Colonies on Mars or the moon? Interstellar missions?
Okay, I stand corrected on the space ships. And I'd forgotten about the moon trips the Quinjet had taken, which, of course, is Wakandan built. But this doesn't change my original point (which was not whether or not there was a Wakandan space program). Why diss others? Why can't the Wakandans just have a space program with plans to go to the stars?

Where are these images from, exactly?
It looks like they're scans rather than Marvel-released preview images, which isn't allowed on these forums.
Expletive Deleted
I assumed they were from some sort of retailer preview magazine or something.
Well maybe Hickman is just a big fan of the US Space Program and is expressing his disapproval via meta commentary.
Black History Month & 29 Days in February
So what do we know so far?
We know the universe is ending.
This Black Swan is involved.
Universes are colliding.
Earth is the center of this mess.
I thinking this maybe fallout from AvX.
The space program is largely just a by-product of ballistic missile development, is Wakanda building those as well?
