Lee decided he want's to save everyone from the heartache of having to sit through his terrible looking Superman who is always drawn like his is constipated.
Unfortunately that will not happen , but to answer your question, I have not heard any other news yet.

It's going to come out around the summer, probably called "Man of Steel" to market with the movie.
