I have recently found a love for 1930s comics published prior to the boom created by Superman. Although this one was published after the Man of Steel's debut. It demonstrates a different approach to comics. While I find the results less than stellar, I appreciate this series for being somewhat experimental.

    Here's a couple of pages.

Notice that the figures are all cut outs of movie stills with artwork drawn around them. Makes for some crazy effects.

I love that early 20th century hand colouring. I used to collect postcards with art form.

Worlds Unknown # 1-8 (Dan Bailey)
    Fade From Blue # 1-10 (dupont 2005)
    Logan’s Run # 1-12 (Rob Allen)
    The Bandy Man # 1-3 (Reptisaurus !)
    Measles # 1-8 (DubipR)
    Raw # 1-8 (Johnny P. Sartre)
Wanted : The World’s Most Dangerous Villains # 1-9 (JKCarrier)

I can't say I'll be running out and snapping up copies of Caught or Movie Comics, but I didn't know anything about either one and appreciate them being listed.

Thanks to the write-up here, I've got the first 8 Fade from Blues on order even as I type.
I tend to split superhero comics fans into "People who like Krypto" and "People who don't like Krypto."
Basically, if you miss the wonder of a dog flying around in a little Superman cape, you're in the wrong hobby.
