Question Ganondorf From Zelda in the Dresden Files

Standard ganon is ported into Dresden Universe following the latest book events. Additionnaly, the enemies already defeated reappear and form previous alliance. What happens? Could Harry beat Ganondorf? Could anyone? What would it take against the standard? What about Triforce Ganon ??? I am curious because I was playing 0carina of time...again...

Ganondorf would be considerably powerful in the mortal scale of power, perhaps overwhelmingly so.

In the divine scale... not so much, though the relatively limited data available makes definite statements difficult.

As for Dresden, no he cannot. Not unless he gets to wield one of the Swords for this and even then it is a 50/50 shot.

Someone wielding one of the Swords might be able to do it, if they can hit him.

Unfortunately for Dresden, he's one of those someones.

A good way of beating him is to lure him to a specific location.

I dunno, those swords are powered by divine energy just like Ganondorf is. The Master Sword is specifically designed to counter the power of the Triforce and it can still only stun/seal him with a lot of effort though the Light Arrows can at least momentarily stun him so there's that. Silver Arrows have been the only thing to actually kill him, thus far, and even that took a few shots IIRC.

And of course, it also depends on which version of Ganondorf is used since they tend to have different MOs and styles. WW Ganondorf was fast enough to deflect Light Arrows from close range and fired at his back, even without his Triforce, but I don't recall TP Ganondorf having that kind of reflex speed feat (though his other gimmicks were still pretty goshdarned impressive).

That'll probably work for Dresden's lifetime, but its kinda iffy as to how long it would keep him down for good. Dude's been sealed away in other dimensions or with divine intervention sealing away his power, repeatedly, and keeps coming back. Not to mention that blowing him up on Halloween won't really bother him for too long, in case that comes up.

'Sides, Ganondorf's schtick tends to be to take over one spot and just stay there for weeks/years at a time. I think WW may have been the first time that he ever actively sought out the final stage instead of the final stage just being his living room or something.

I don't know..the island has been holding things much nastier then the skinwalker. Maybe it won't hold Ganondorf forever..but possibly more then Harry's own(admittedly long) lifetime. There is also the balefire failsafe..

I'd presume the Triforce of Power is roughly equivalent to a Fae Lady Mantle... spoilers:
And I don't think they'd be able to slip back out.

On the other hand, I doubt Demonreach is likely to detonate just for a single escapee rather than a full-scale breach.

Never played Zelda, so I don't know much about Ganondorf, but would all three swords affect him? Assuming Harry can get three sword wielders to back him up.

Basically, he's a warrior/warlock king of a tribe of desert thieves who bonds with the Triforce of Power, a powerful artifact left behind by the trio of Goddesses who created the world. It amplified his magic immensely, made him immortal and allows him to turn into a large boar-like demon form.

It's also heavily implied in the latest game that he's a mortal reincarnation of Demise, a primordial God of darkness who with his dying breath cursed the descendants of those who killed him to be plagued by his shade.

Anywho: The immortality is the key bit here: Not only is he immune to aging, but he also casually shrugs off pretty much any wound... Except for those inflicted by the Master Sword (A weapon specifically crafted by the Goddess Hylia to be Demise's bane), or Light or Silver Arrows.

...And except for the Silver Arrows, those generally only put him down long enough to be sealed, banished or imprisoned. Those appear to be a refinement of the Light Arrow concept rather than just ordinary silver.

Anyhow, the "Sword of Evil's Bane" is a pretty accurate description of what the Knight's swords are. I figure they'd work fairly interchangeably for the Master Sword.

So all three KoC Swords would be equal to or three times as powerful as the Master Sword?

    I'd guess so.

Heck, the Master Sword even has that issue of becoming depowered during Wind Waker... Albeit for entirely different reasons than Amoracchius. Basically it's enchantments had worn down after a long period of dormancy and it needed ritualized prayer at a pair of temples to renew them.

Honestly, the Master Sword and the KoC Swords seem to approach things from opposite directions. The Master Sword is basically a really good regular sword (usually about 2X as powerful as a regular sword, gameplaywise, and in LttP was reforged twice to become the Golden Master Sword, which is about 4 times stronger than even the regular Master Sword, in game, but never mentioned in plot) against anything except Ganondorf, though occasionally with some added gimmicks like being able to shoot energy blasts when Link is at full health (though in other games, that's a base or learnable skill for any weapon instead), the ability to be powered up by absorbing mini-suns or the prayers of certain Sages, the ability to travel back and forth in time when stuck in a Pedestal of Time, etc.

Against Ganondorf's power, or rather, against the divinely fueled Triforce of Power which is heavily amping him and the source of his immortality, drawing it it can undo curses amped by ToP (TP), bounce back energy blasts fueled by the ToP (LttP, OoT, TP, probably several more), and even seal (but not kill) Ganondorf (usually with the help of 2-7 sages; OoT, LttP, WW, TP). And even then , you usually need to smack him with a Light Arrow to do that.

Conversely, the KoC swords tend to burn Fae and demonic beings at a touch as long as they are being used for a valid Faith-based reason (that was a weird 3-4 words chain), otherwise they're defenses stop working and they can be destroyed. When used in the proper manner though, they can really amp a relatively normal person to allow them to charge through a crowd of Red Court Vampires (with a spirit of information providing mental defenses), but generally speaking Ganondorf would bitchslap the Denarians and most Red Court goons in a direct fight so that's not too big of a deal. Honestly though, I don't know if they would really kick in that much unless this was TP Ganondorf who was being worshiped as a God by Zant, and even then Zant was the only one doing that and Ganondorf really WAS using the power of a Goddess that just magically appeared on him at the time so its not like he's subverting faith or trying to corrupt people or anything like that.

I can't say anything about Skyward Sword's effects on canon though, since I don't have the Wii.

The Goddess Hylia forged the Skyward Sword to be the bane of Demise, her opposite number, then the Triforce Goddesses blessed it to upgrade it to being the Master Sword.

Ganondorf is heavily implied to be a mortal reincarnation of Demise, or at the very least least directly influenced by the curse he placed on the original Zelda and Link.

Between the events of Skyward Sword and Wind Waker, it's pretty clear that the "Sword of Evil's Bane" title the blade is sometimes given isn't intended to be a flowery metaphor.
