Seeing as how Arcade now has his own AVENGERS book I think it's quite appropriate to start celebrating the madness behind the man.

Let us appreciate one of the most underrated characters that has now finally made it into the big leagues and his own SOLO title.

A combination of evil genius and hitman, Arcade affects a manner of dress and speech that makes him appear to be a comedic character. This is part of his overall theme, which extends into his preferred method of murder, an underground funhouse of colorfuldeathtraps, usually decked out in cheery colors and disguised as an amusement park, which he has dubbed "Murderworld".

Arcade's back-story, up to and including his real name, remains largely unknown even to this day. This is mainly the result of his knack for escaping once he has been defeated. According to the man himself, he was born into an extremely wealthy family and lived for much of his early life in, depending on the telling, a ranch in Texas, or a mansion in Beverly Hills.^[2] At the age of either eighteen or twenty-one, again depending on the telling, his allowance was cut off by his father, who declared that he did not deserve it. In retaliation, Arcade murders his father, thus inheriting all of the man's vast estate. Given his propensity for deception, this origin story can hardly be taken at face value.

Ms Locke:

The main lackey of the insane Arcade alongside Mr Chambers. She was a devout follower of Arcade and recruited the X-Men to save him when he was kidnapped by Doctor Doom. Once, as a birthday present, she tried to kill him using robots to the likeness of Doctor Doom, giving him a great thrill.
Miss Locke was famous because she "never smiled". However, a glimpse of a smile could be seen when she was drugging the X-Men, when accepting defeat during the birthday surprise, and when hearing one of Murderworld's intended victims Courtney Rosstelling a joke to survive.
Arcade seemingly killed Miss Locke and mutilated his own face during a plot to frame Wolverine in a complex "Jack the Ripper"-like series of murders.[1] Arcade himself was eventually defeated. Miss Locke has since been seen alive, so her death was presumably faked.

Miss Locke is skilled in using guns. She is also highly seductive, and was even able to persuade the dragon Lockheed to let her escape from him by using her charm.

Always loved Arcade. I think all the kids should have a schooltrip to Murderworld as a rite of passage. So delighted to see him back with fabulous hair.
