Squadron Supreme Hyperion vs. Count Nefaria

For me, Hyperion's "established" level is what he showed in the Squadron Supreme limited, and some stuff around that - he's tough as hell, strong, has good speed, nice eyebeams, etc., but he's totally lacking in the kind of crazy high-end stuff that, for instance, Thor has. He's not cracking moons and crap like that. And if he's not at that level, I just don't see how he matches up with Nefaria, who is certainly at that level.

That Wonder Man link just gave Simon a serious boost in durability around here. He was always good, but "through a planet and into a sun" durability is probably a step up.

He did die in that attack. He only came back after from Death faffing around. He wasn't doing well in that fight at all. A particularly solid shot from Hyperion in the fight between them before all that launched him across the planetoid for 20 miles, broke his arm, and shattered most of his ribs, along with leaving him unable to move for "many moments".

Which, that's actually pretty good for Hyperion, but again, that is /the Grandmaster's Hyperion/. There was also that through the planet and on the way to the sun, he wasn't capable of any kind of response after being smashed into by Hyperion.
