I would have thought that Kaine's alcohol tolerance would have been higher, since for years, all he did was drink and kill people for money:
Empty winds scrape on the soul never stop to realize/Animal whisperings intoxicate the night
Hypnotize the desperate slow motionlight/Wash away into the rain
    Blood, milk and sky....

    Ok.

    spoilers:
After the events of Minimum Carnage, Kaine gets wasted (on three beers and wants to quit the hero business and book it for Mexico. Wally, Donald and Aracely impede his path just long enough for him to pass out. After which Courtney Johnson from The Four Seasons guest relations informs the conscious inhabitants of the room that Kaine has to go because the ambassador from Belgium has a reservation for the Presidential suite months before Kaine began to live there. At this time a gang of armed Santas tr robbing the Four Seasons and Annabelle gets taken hostage but not before calling and getting word to Donald. But Kaine is still passed out. What follows is a humorous one shot romp that ends in a roof top gathering and more money in the swear jar.
    end of spoilers

Sure when his body was completely defective, now that he has the degenerative issues under control and is a 'perfect' clone, he is back to being a Parker light weight.

Loved this issue, glad Minimum Carnage is over. I don't think I even finished reading it, I'll have to go back and check I've all the issues.

Thanks! I'm counting the days till I'm home... I had a nagging feeling when I was packing that I had forgot to do something, and that something was start a physical Scarlet Spider subscription... I have them on my iPhone because of the Marvel app... I left before #12 came out, and I won't have it for a little while longer, and I'm chomping at the bit... My friends keep saying that a lot of the book is like me, except that I don't have superpowers or villains and such... I relate to Kaine a lot...

Nice issue with Kaine's supporting cast getting a chance to shine. It also had some really funny moments as well.
Animal Man, Batman Inc, Constantine, Earth 2, Flash, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Justice League, Justice League Dark, JLA, Saga, Swamp Thing, Supergirl and Superman.

This series repeatedly proves its the best thing Marvel puts out. Just magnificent. Scheming Annabelle was beautiful, art was good, adding plot points to be explored later on (Kaine reveals he's a murderer in his drunken stupor, Aracely's powers extend to more than just reading minds and emotions), emotions were good, and the finally was excellent. Even if he's racist against Belgiums. =p

I think I really appreciate how this issue really felt like a Spi...Scarlet Spider focused issue without him actually appearing until the final moments. And I liked that the problem of the story wasn't "How will Kaine solve this mess!?" but "How can we get Kaine involved?" Once Annabelle shows up with the crook at the door, it's just all over, and it's hilariously awesome. =O

Minimum Carnage was merely ok, kinda boring and felt out of place, and I'm a little sad we lost like two months for it. But this is just the spectacular return to form I expect from this series. Seriously still disappointed this thing doesn't sell twice as many as it does.

Agreed, I'm really enjoying the whole cast in this series. I just really hope it(and Venom)'s doing OK sales wise so doesnt cancel soon, as it's one of the best series Marvels putting out. Couldn't believe a series about Kaine would actually be more fun than the Spider-Man series.

They are both holding near 30k. So pretty safe.
There's a bit of Spider-Man in all of us.

I lagged behind in Minimum Carnage too, and only finished it because this came out.

MC was great, and both writers involved are among the best but I'm so glad its over. I'm not really feeling Venom anymore (I've dropped/picked up/dropped it so many times) but SS is still THE best thing out there and this was another 5 star issue. I haven't been this interested in a comic since my younger days as a USM reader. Great planting of seeds, focus on the supporting cast and development of lead. Beautiful art, everything about this was unbelievable.

    yeah, I liked it
