I really hope it was a Mettle robot or something. Although we could argue that Mettle's narrative came to an end once he got laid (Mettle is Oscar Wao?).

I thought X-23 was a lot more interesting in Avengers Academy than she is anywhere else, but I've never been a huge fan.

Despite the similarities, Arcade is not Jigsaw. He's not Bonesaw either.

And suddenly I'm recasting this as that "Wrasslor" episode of 'Dial M for Monkey' and it's making me smile.

(and yes, I know what that episode is based on)
"Curse you, Occam's Razor! You have betrayed me!"

Reviewing is a lot like paleontology: the evidence is there, but no one seems to agree on it.

Arcade has been able to escape the law, so being on the run wouldn't be new to him. This does make me wonder if Arcade is showing this to other villains.

Actually being successful in killing superheroes, especially young ones that the older ones feel guilty about failing, would lead to a whole new level of manhunt, just as (rightly or wrongly) cop-killers get a whole lot of resources thrown at their capture.

And so has Arcade. Once he strangled one of his assistants to death and that's much more mundane that blowing someone up.

True, but Arcade probably thinks he'll be able to elude them. He probably wont of course and he'll get what is coming to him.

No, Arcade is nothing like Jigsaw. Not a mob type, no exoskeleton, no massive scarring, not a Punisher villain.

I've got no issue with him taking a personal hand in things, although I'll be curious to hear where his power ups came from.

We haven't seen things from Nico's POV. For all we know she tries such things, and maybe A) nothing happens or b) something weird happens or C) her magic is acting goofy. So the story hasn't hardly been told yet and already it's being picked apart? Allow the story to play out.

I have to say I never read Avengers Academy, but I read my friends copy of this and I really felt for what happened to Mettle.

It's the Avengers coming after him so the worse that he will face is another tissue paper jail, Perhaps that is why he didn't grap X=kids, killing some of them would give him reason to fear, Killing Avengers has no real consequences if they catch you

He probably got the idea after seeing Doom kill one of them teenage Avengers and facing no comeuppance.
The monster saved them all. And in their fear, they betrayed him. As they always have. As they always will.

    Depends which Avengers catch him.

He Has Wolverine's Daughter how do you think that will work out for him?
I'm so bored with this martyrdom routine, this halo all you X-men love to polish. Self-described soldiers adorned in an "X" with no dedication to what it actually stands for.
