I'm still on the fence about buying Morbius. So this helps with the decision

Why would anyone who collects a title on a regular basis deliberately skip an issue?

I am obsessed with the idea of completely erasing Spider-Man from every Marvel continuity

I'm getting it as part of my subscription, so yes. If it hadn't come with sub though, I would still plan on buying it. I missed some key information by not buying 679.1 last time. Like the return of Morbius.

    Every comic ever is filler.

Totally disagree. Some comics can be great literature, and are.

If you're not interested in Morbius it's totally skippable.

By "filler" we mean it's not necessary to read it in order to follow the current story arc.

For what it's worth, your crusade is failing.

Well, if the Lizard shows up in #700, don't blame Slott because you're confused as to how he broke out.

I'd say that while this issue was mostly for Morbius fans, it did a good job of retelling his origin, while at the same time adding to and expanding it.

Glad I'm getting it in my sub then. I was rather upset that I didn't get #679.1 and missed the reveal of Morbius being apart of the think tank at Horizon.

Zero interest in Morbius, so it's a skip for me.
