The reason she is loved is her back story not the predicament. If that were to remain the same, there's no reason to assume the alteration of the situation would alter the like of her. She'd fit right in with the other Academy kids because of it, too.

Then again, I'm the guy who liked X_23's inclusion in Academy initially.
