Man, she is BEYOND a class act. Seriously.

And lol, is DC going to wait until 4:59pm today to put out the March 2013 Batman Family solicitations so we'll know who the new writer is going to be?
    Pull list:
Adv. Time, Batgirl, B & R, BOP, E 2, Fearless Defenders, Guardians of the Galaxy, He-Man, JL: Dark, Katana, Shadowman, Swamp Thing, The Ultimates, Ultimate Spider-Man, Worlds' Finest

No, that was Sean McKeever who neither made a good job on the last volume.

Felicia Henderson however, made things even worse, not only because the stories were derivative and mediocre at best but also because her writing skills were terrible.
Comic Books are fun, Comic Book fans not so much.

If Lobdell gets anywhere near Babs, I'm going to lose my friggin mind. That's what Babs really needs - overwritten, nonsensical dialogue and a thousand thought bubbles.

    BATGIRL #18
    Written by RAY FAWKES
Art and cover by DANIEL SAMPERE and VICENTE CIFUENTES
    On sale MARCH 13 • 32 pg, FC, $2.99 US • RATED T
    • The first of two issues by guest writer Ray Fawkes!
    • Batgirl must face the man who sold her out to The Joker during “DEATH OF THE FAMILY”…her own brother, James Gordon, Jr.
    • Can Barbara help him, or will this conflict be the final nail in her family’s coffin?
So Ray Fawkes is doing the March and April issues. Since Starlin starts writing in April, you at least are still safe on that front.

As for Fawkes, Lemire brought him into DC, so I'm willing to bet his work will be good enough.

...and that's different from the current book how exactly? Cos Lobdell uses more bubbles and not boxes?

I'm pretty sure this solicit is a rewording of #17s, as Gail won't be writing that issue. Rich mentioned in his original BC post yesterday that from what he understood, the fill in writer would be taking over the book now, so I wouldn't be surprised if Ray continues.

Oh, really? Well, that's good enough for me. We need more new indie talent.

If Ray Fawkes takes over the Batgirl title that would be great.

If Jim Starlin takes over the Batgirl title, not so much.

Give it some time, people will start thinking rationally again soon enough.

Me either, it has to be on purpose to choose a relative unknown. Have to admit, smart on DC's part.

He's currently co-writing Justice League Dark.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like when writers use the boxes, they tend to edit a bit more, get right to the point. And, yes, there is a certain aesthetic reasoning behind my saying that. Again, that may just be me.

But moreover, I think Lobdell overwrites everything to the point that it just becomes rambles. And when I read those rambles in thought bubbles, I feel like the characters are on meth.
