Young Diana, Issues 0 and 18, Wonder Girl, and "Donna Troy"

I don't know much of Donna troy so forgive me if this butchers her history or whatever.

I would say just using the demigod angle again since its easier to describe it to people than time travel. Instead of making her another daughter of Hipoolyta and Zeus, another god(goddess)-human pairing would suffice. It gives a connection to WW but it allows her distance enough to have her own power set, rogues galley, niche etc enough to not be seen as Diana lite.

I was gonna say make Aphrodite, Artemis, Hecate or Artemis her mom and her dad be a human guy.

Well, I wouldnt mind such an origin. It has some tonal ties to the old Titans origin, is easy to explain, and you could go into it with as much or as little depth as you like and it still works. It would fit in too, with Diana currently meeting some of her half siblings. But given how some fans have freaked the f**k out over the demigod thing, Im not sure how well Donna going the same would would take. Still, I'd read it.

Though, Im not sure if a new origin, any origin, would be enough to make Donna any less a "Diana lite" in the eyes of most fans.

Donna Troy's origin and backstory was ruined, with Marv Wolfman writing "Who Is Wonder Girl?" and the Titans of Myth. It is, without pause, one of the stupidest comic book stories I have ever read (and I've read alot), ..followed by one of the ugliest, hookerest, stupidest superhero costumes I have ever seen. "Every stupid, clunky piece of rainbow-colored crap on my costume has its own unique origin!" Donna exclaimed, at the end of the story.

Hmm odd, Who is Wonder Girl is normally considered the best Wonder Girl stories ever told.

I had other ideas like making her Lennox's daughter or a descendant of Exirstisos(sorry if I messed that up) but those seem to fit other characters like Cassie or Grace Choi better. Brave and the Bold cartoon just made Aqualad(garth) Aqua man's son so I was thinking of making her Fury on earth 2 but that would be mixed as well.

thats the problems of legacy characters everywhere not just Donna.

True that. Seems the only ones who got away from that sort of thing were Nightwing (to a point anyway) and Wally West. But Wally took over for Barry and was THE Flash for more than twenty years, so it barely counts.
