    I see that he's trying to tie them together to create a overall arc, but he's not doing it very well. It's not horrible, but not quite what it could be.

    Bringing DeMatteis on as co-writer is just what this book needs. His writing technique and sensibilities can only make this book better. Now, if he were being brought on as co-plotter/head writer, this might be a contender for my favorite Dark book. I also wouldn't hate if they made Lady Luck a mystical type character, maybe in the same vein as Madame Xanadu...
