Maybe you should look into Dreadstar as well.

I say"NO!" to Jim Starlin on any DC property, especially the New Gods. His Cosmic Odyssey and Death of the New Gods were absolute trash.

Holmes, if that's the case, I agree with you. Apologies for misreading.
A Fool for the Foom
Dreadstar is one of my favorite stories I've ever read. I LOVE it.
As for Jim's body of work. I see a lot of people trashing Cosmic Odissey and Death of the New Gods.
While I'm sure some people had a problem with him defining the anti-lfe equation in CO, I thought it was a great story. No doubt Mike Mignola's art had a lot to do with my enjoyment.
Death of the New Gods was a comissioned work. He was paid to kill the NG, so what did you expect? Join in the caotic editorial state of DC with Countdown, and nothing good could have come out of it. I for one, thought that it, at least, showed us that Starlin still had the chops artwise.
Liked a lot his Batman run, his Infinity Watch, his The Wierd, and his Captain Marvel. Warlock too.
Never was much of a fan of the Silver Surfer, so that didn't do much for me. I found Infinity Gauntlet and the Infinity Trilogy okay, but I don't consider it the masterpiece many seem to do.
As I've said before, I was enjoying quite a lot his previous DC cosmic work
Bottom line, Starlins batting average, while not perfect (and very few are), is high with me, so I'm excited about whatever he'll be doing next for DC, and, depending on the character, am sure to pick it up.
Peace
I've tried 8 different series by Aaron, each time hoping this "genius" I keep hearing about will show itself and each time being disappointed. After a while it's just throwing good money after bad, and Thor (like Wonder Woman) isn't a character that I feel compelled to follow in spite of creative teams. Now if it were Hercules or the Black Knight (or Fin Fang Foom) I'd be S.O.L. I've heard nothing but good things on CBR about it myself, but the same goes for every one of those series I wasted money on (though "Wolverine and the X-Men" seems to be losing that luster if what I'm reading on the X-Boards is true).
A Fool for the Foom
This apparently has something to do with it
