I'm actually fine with the polygamy/amoury thing. IMO, it only makes sense for a eugenic culture run by a genetics council.

I don't see what that has to do with anything. And we know how they ended up that way. Triton's mutation was so extreme they disallowed the family to have further Terrigen exposure. And Inhuman history is full of genetics wars and ethnic cleansing. One of the purposes of the council was to prevent such horrible mutations. It's no stretch that a guy who turned into a dog is going to be treated like one, even if out of pity. Not to mention he got a teleportation power, and Inhumans are extreme isolationists. In a culture like the Inhumans', someone like Lockjaw is going to be worth less than nothing. I'd imagine the Inhumans would get more mileage from Alpha Primitives.

I was thinking along the lines of the movie "The Fly" and maybe at some point they were mixing humans and animals in the mists at the same time to see what it would happen.

Its kind of odd about his belief system. Surely he has demonstrated some kind of religious indoctrination because of his concern about his quest for the redemption of his mother's soul. It would be interesting if his father had also been a sort of spirtual leader of the tribe. The Romani people in the RW tend to adopt the religion of the region to which they had migrated. Some have converted to Christianity and some Islam. From some of his statements, I'd have to say Doom's tribe converted to Christianity. Yet his mother practiced the dark arts so perhaps she reverts back to the days when the Romani considered Kali their goddess. With his leaning towards his mother's practices he has to at some point think that her transgressions must be an example to him about the state of his own soul.

I agree also. I always assumed with the all that advanced technology and magic floating around in the Marvel Universe, Doom could've found some way to fix his face by now.

IMO it would make a lot of sense if the damage was more sorcerous in nature and the Demon cursed him so that the face would never be repaired. It might also explain the different reactions if at times the demon's curse can cause the way his face looks can change or maybe Doom can subconsciously cause his face to revert to normal at times.
Now that I remember it, in the What If where Doom became Sorcerer Supreme and he and the Ancient One ventured to the Netherworld to rescue Cynthia, Mephisto explicitly told him that he ruined ihs face the first time he stuck it into his realm and now it seems he hasn't learned his lesson.

Damn! What does Lockjaw have to do with Doom's face??? I found this thread interesting until it go all over the place with other discussions.

So what is the verdict on Doom's face now? Yes I know he tried to fix it before but has he done any thing about it in say the last 5 years?

Yes, I do remember reading that one and maybe that's the first time if was ever linked to being an injury that was caused by sorcery. I don't think it would take that great of a leap to make it canon since Books of Doom does something similar. These days, it's seldom said that the machine itself was a complete failure and Reed even used the plans in "Hereafter".

No, not unless you count him restoring his face when he gained control of the Life Force in "Children's Crusade". He's not tried any conventional methods since that consult he had with Dr. Don Blake in Stan Lee's "Thor" went sour.....and Blake really didn't have any procedure like he claimed.

That issue also featured Doom's remembrancer which he used on spoilers:
    Stephen Strange before he died.
end of spoilers Considering the current situation in Amazing Spider-Man right now, it makes me think if Doom would ever consider trying it on Reed, as a form of twisted revenge.

Not having read ASM I think I kind of know what you are talking about. Doom does have that mind transfer trick he pulls out once in a great while, the last time being during Waid's run in Authoritative Action. When he first used it in FF#10 he did impersonate Reed. We don't know if that power has it's limits though because IIRC he can be forced into breaking control. Also, since he's pretty much as adept at magic as Doctor Strange, you would have to think he could cast an illusion spell such as Strange as pulled off from time to time and camouflage his appearance.
