It is quite the paradox.
It is quite the paradox.
Hey! No one's asking you to smell it.

She's annoyingly hard to keep down- nowhere near as annoyingly hard to keep down as Garland (Irie's father), but annoyingly hard to keep down all the same.
A paradox that needs to be resolved before I can even form an idea of what to post next.

So, just checking I'm following all of this right. I fell behind for a bit and I'm a little sketchy on the details. To my understanding, there are three... ish... main plots right now while we are on hiatus due to Cleric's computer being broken.
- Rosemary is going to do something in her mind with her imaginary friends to combat... Lunarius (whatever that is) by having a tea party. Sloane, Eisen and Selma are helping... somehow.
- Iriesia is unconscious after being knocked out by her bodyguard and the lightning guy when she wigged out again about... something. Currently, she is being carried off by Takeshi who has escaped the continual glomping of his now apparently psychically healed mother and he no longer looks like a monster somehow. Meanwhile Casimir is talking to her henchmen. One of them has a previous connection to Ramilia because they were MA buddies together.
- Cammy has met her superpowerful evil dictator grandfather in prison. She, Skye, Mack (?) and Robert are... doing something with him? Trying to get him to help them fight Volkov? I don't know.
Anyhow, did I miss anything important or horribly misinterpret something?

The tea party isn't anything to do with the fight. She's just talking to them all while she has the chance since they probably won't have much time when they escape the Gulag, go to Eden, etc. Even though she stated she wasn't going to deal with Lunarius until they were at a safer location, Cas and Sloane seem to keep jumping the gun on assuming this.

Gary Stu is the male form of the term.
I also think it's kind of being incorrectly applied here.
Cas isn't a Gary Stu. He's not that interesting a character to me and this Old Gods thing is meh, but he's not nearly perfect, powerful enough or ridiculously sexually attractive enough to qualify as a Stu. He's got the angst and the INNER DARK SIDE but it's at least somewhat justified.
I call not Stu personally.
Heck, Cammy's closer to Sue than Cas is for my money. Shy retiring girl with a secret unique power buried inside her that makes her stronger than anyone else in the group, angsts about being too powerful, INNER DARK SIDE, sexy lesbian fun times, comes from an old family with a history of being really powerful... yeah, she's not far off either.

Hey, Sloane figured that he was wrong on her going so early.
Ancient evil being that's the source of the Matron powers.
Long ago, he jammed some of his own essence into his daughter. She didn't appreciate that, so she kept the main portion of him sealed away. She was the first Matron of the Vargreaves family.
So Rose's bloodline is descended from him, and as long as even one Vargreave is alive, Lunarius continues to exist. He is tied to the world by their lives.
However, since Lunarius escaped with Rose's help and jammed the rest of his soul into her, defeating him would ensure he wouldn't be able to act while cutting off the bloodline would mean he would have no more ties to the world.
Not quite:
- Lightning guy's the bodyguard.
- If Jacob and Iriesia get a moment alone, you'll see why she wigged out.
- Amare and Ramilia technically aren't MA buddies, as Amare enter the MA world after Ramilia left.
Alright you three. I demand you define both Gary-Stu and Mary-Sue. The terms have been misused so much that there's no way of telling what people mean when they say them anymore.

Okay, thanks for the clarification.
Alright, I'll give what I understand the term to mean.Alright you three. I demand you define both Gary-Stu and Mary-Sue. The terms have been misused so much that there's no way of telling what people mean when they say them anymore.
Mary Sue or Gary Stu, the terms are only gender specific, are characters that have several but not necessarily all of the following qualities;
- Significantly more powerful than the rest of the cast in their common fields.
- Powers from a specialised source that only they have access to.
- Have or are of a special heritage that they are the last or amongst the last of that may or may not grant them access to the aforementioned special privileges.
- Are notably physically attractive to the opposite/same sex depending on preference.
- Have a dark past that they angst about while not actually allowing said trauma to hamper or effect them in their day to day life outside of when is dramatically convenient.
- Are largely beloved by the rest of the cast despite whatever actions they may have done that should cause the opposite reaction.
- Have a dark side that could be let out and a moment's notice but is also somewhat forgotten about for the most part.
- Especially unique hair/eyes.
- Tend to derail the main plot to focus on issues that revolve entirely around how special they are.
I think that about covers it. As I said, I don't think any of the characters are Mary Sues/Gary Stus in this game. Some of the cast have traits that are on the criteria list but none really say "SUE!" to me.
