And the Cardiac Fan gets trolled. lol
"Life goes on. Peter Parker fans will sort of fade away over the months and years, and you'll have a bunch of people who only know the new cast. It's probably similar to what happened with Ben Reilly back in the day. And fans seem to want him back."
Wow. It really kind of seems like SW just said that Marvel is done with Parker fans, no really cares about them and is marketing the book for new fans.
For some reason, THIS interview has somewhat killed my excitement for Superior. That just seems like an awful way to address fans who've been around for 50 years, 700 issues and whatnot.
All New Spider-Man, Superior Spider-Man, Avenging Spider-Man
Those Ramos pages featuring the Avengers looks amazing. I might have to start reading Spider-man when Superior swings fully into effect.
Man, Ed McG should just be in charge of drawing a Nova Corps series.
That little... that little starry eye Despicable Me character is hilarious. Looks like a flying toy that is part of the Nova Corps.
I like the art.
I mean, you can't forget about Pete, just like DC fans can't forget about Wally.
It really does seem to be the thinking for both major comic publishers. The guys like myself who've grown up with this stuff and now are adults spending way more money than we ever have don't matter. I'm personally up to $450 a month in books, not including my back issue hunts. That also is almost all Marvel as I dropped DC back when they rebooted. I didn't care for that as it seemed like they didn't care about me, or mine. I get it, my money isn't what supports the entire company and they don't owe me anything. I also get that I won't be missed when I drop Marvel over these drastic direction shifts they're taking. It's just a bit disheartening when you read about the changes in a way that tells you straight out that your interests don't matter. The age of drastic changes for buzz has taken over a struggling industry. Somewhere, someone has taken controversy for sales and is running with it. The need to put their mark on a IP is more important than writing/drawing a classic character.
I'm glad they've been bought by a larger company and no longer need to worry about being kept afloat by what's printed, because in the end, I wish Marvel well. They kept me interested for many years, and I shall miss them.
Perhaps a hint to who the new Spider-Man is...It's probably similar to what happened with Ben Reilly back in the day. And fans seem to want him back.
Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker, Professor X, Mar-Vell, Richard Rider- Bring Them Back!!!
I don't believe it for a second. Wacker's just trying to stir up trouble. He loves Parker and is just saying some BS that he knows will piss people off intentially and is sitting at Marvel cackling with glee because Pete will come back triumphant at the end. Trust me.
This will be as permanent a change as Bucky as Captain America was. Probably even less permanent.
One might argue that there is no good story that switches Peter's and Doc Ock's brains...Wacker: There is no “good” story that brings Gwen back.

I'm loving that Nova art.
That Captain Marvel art, not so much. Ugh.
"I want to see beautiful people doing amazing things." - Grant Morrison
Agreed. My guess is that come January, Ben Reilly will be Spider-Man, with a certain Mr. Parker changing his name.
