Which is why many people are really exited about it.

Too bad Toriyama seems to have forgotten his own series (Goku sitting in space, Gohan going super) :)

edit: but yeah, Toriyama was hugley involved in this one and it's supposed to be canon. It's different than the other movies.

I grew up with the series, too. I just found it particularly weird how arguably the mightiest warrior in the universe literally sounded like a giant baby crying whenever he was powering up. AND his son!

It was great when Goku showed back up after the year as a grown man in DB, and had the same exact voice he had as a kid. Haha.
