I think people are reading way too much into a cover. A cover which is, imo, absolutely fantastic.

I hope it will not be Akins on art, but it probably will
Sadly, Akins and Green are on art duty...again. He is all right-ish but he is certainly no Chiang.
When are we going to get a full 5-6 consecutive issues illustrated by Chiang?
I want more CLIFF CHIANG, bloody hell!!!

Oh, I agree. I'm just looking for story hints. They may not be there, but it doesn't hurt to look for them. :)

We're getting not even 4 consecutive issues, which was the original "deal".

EDIT: Oh, DC is releasing the solicits through various sites, not on their blog.

Though it is wall drawn. For what it is.

Too late, Gaelforce beat you to it.

Anyhoo, I like it. I love how it calls back to the original #0 cover Chiang did, and also it makes me sad that we got the crappy flying through the burst instead. I really like the mosaic effect on Diana in the background. She looks kinda sad though...

Will ares be buying it soon?

I'm just echoing the current sentiments, but the echo is genuine: that's a beautiful cover.

And I know they aren't thematically the same, but it instantly reminded me of the run of covers in the pre-crisis title after issue #300.

The difference here being, the cover of WW 18 is a book I would buy, these books are books I would not touch with a 10 foot pole. They are sooo different thematically they're hardly comparable, and that's just the cover art.

I see the comparison. It's a headshot behind an action shot. In that, they are similar.

Yes, my sister - my gaze has found you at last. But why are you dressed like a Greek?

I have to say though, the interlocking circular patterns of the white dots on the face of older Diana is damn impressive. If you stare at it long enough they seem to move
