unless its either heinberg or cheung on the book this will fail even on his formspring he admits hell be lucky if he get s 12 issues and enough of kid loki already it was fun for a while but please no more...i know gillen gets a lot of love but jim was not ok but nothing special and for the most part his uncanny x-men was forgettable.and his iron man run 3 issues has been easily the worst received marvel now relaunch ..ill try teh first few issues but no more than that
Easily the Marvel Now book I'm the most stoked for I hope it lasts as long as this great creative teams wants to.
I like the art. We need dialogue though. I think the book may be a hit. After all, Marvel loves its books with Avengers in the title, and so do some consumers.

This is going to be magical. Perfect alignment of theme, cast, and creators. I'm sure the vocal JIM fan-base will follow it, and hopefully so will the established Young Avengers fans even though this won't be written by Heinberg (who, in my opinion, wrote fantastic dialog but sort of repetitive superhero action).

EPIC.
Gillen and McKelvie are going to crush this.
The art is gorg. The writing is gonna be boss.
My brain is melting. Somebody call a necromancer so I don't miss out on all this awesome.

In Kieron Gillen I TrustKGB since 3/10/11
"Um, blah, blah, blah. And, Girl Power. Feminism, d'you know what I mean?"
Wow, I'm kind of awed. Gillen has the EXACT same perception of Miss A and Noh Varr that I do - even down to the alien hipsterness - which excites me sooo much.
Also, lol at Noh Varr and Kate waking up after sleeping together. Hoping for a 'Hangover' type issue detailing their shenanigans.

Hmm, interesting comments thus far.
I wonder if there might end up being credence to the theory that Wiccan magically created Hulkling as the ideal boyfriend...
Love that Noh Varr is a fellow cinema-phile (reminds me of the scene in the original MB miniseries where he watched TV and insisted on watching all channel at once).

This books keeps looking better and better.
Given that even the miniseries of the Young Avengers tend to sell better than many on-goings (and none dipped below 27K), I'm pretty certain that, especially with this creative team and build up, it's going to do wonderfully.

"Curse you, Occam's Razor! You have betrayed me!"
Reviewing is a lot like paleontology: the evidence is there, but no one seems to agree on it.
I don't care if they only get twelve issues out of their run. It'll still be twelve great issues.
I know Kevin Nichols through a guy that knows a gal. Small world!
If nihilism didn't take some delight in destruction one might suspect nihilists were an unnaturally morbid sort.

Who's Sears winter boot is that staring at Kid Loki?
And yay for a larger cast!!!!
I need this book to last longer then arena if only to prove that teens have uses besides cannon fodder.
Nothing really new though info wise

Betting it's MAC, about to punt him off the building.
Is anyone else getting an X-book vibe out of this? Sounds like it's going to be kind of like an updated original New Mutants run, what with the emphasis on the kids just being kids with the superheroics on the sides. I'm so excited. While in "Generation Hope," there were no easy answers, the writer said he's interested in doing stories "about the boring stuff." "Not the life and death issues, the life issues," like the relatively mundane concept of "having a shitty job." He wants to focus on the full range of teenage problems through a superhero lens.
