I know everyone isn't all that into the opening bits, but that page with that narration and Joker just staring... I got a bit of the chills there.
Anyhow, looks interesting and a bit exciting. Joker's dark humor is getting better for me here and I just love that final preview page. He's just not in the mood.
The bit about the Joker's eyes was great. Can't wait for next week.
I tried not to read the preview but could not help myself like always :/
Anyway the page where Batman punches Joker and knocks his face loose is gorgeous. Can't wait for wednesday.
"You wouldn't like me when I'm happy" - Bruce Banner
"You are nothing but degenerate filth!"
"Tell me where Pennyworth is and I'll only hurt you a lot."
Ugh.
This issue seems extra campy sure to appease the rabble who hate super serious and grimdark beginnings of this arc
Currrently Reading- Suicide Squad,Justice League,Animal Man,Batwoman,Batman:The Dark Knight,Batman,Batman and Robin,Detective Comics, Wonder Woman and Jonah Hex
Awesome preview. Capullo is killing it on the art!
"Criminals are a cowardly, superstitious lot." - Dick Grayson
"That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard." - Damian Wayne
No dialogue would be better than the first line.
As for the second one, the threat should definitely be dropped. Batman should know that threats are useless against the Joker. Something short and terse like "WHERE. IS. PENNYWORTH." Preferably in 3 connected balloons to emphasize the pauses easily indicates that Batman is pissed and tired of the bullshit.
Snyder could really use an editor. Unless he's getting paid by the word. Which would explain all the trivia exposition.
Sweet preview! I love it.
"You can't trust them as poets either. The true poet is anonymous, as to his habits, but these boys have to look, act, and apparently smell like poets"
Flannery O'Connor on the beats.
Very good preview. Nice to see Batman being smart. Capullo is killing it, how does he do it this good on a regular basis?
