I seem to remember the symbiote having knowledge of Peter being Spider-Man. When it transferred from Fortunato then to Gargan and now Flash has it retained that information?

No. The symbiote forgot as part of the mind wipe. It didn't appear to remember after the psychic blindspot was lifted.
The monster saved them all. And in their fear, they betrayed him. As they always have. As they always will.

Because now people can learn the identity but cannot remember it unless it was revealed to said person or alien so the symbiote won't remember Peter because part of the blind spot is still there.
Does it set of Peter's spider-sense?
"It is wrong to assume that art needs the spectator in order to be. The film runs on without any eyes. The spectator cannot exist without it. It ensures his existence." -- James Douglas Morrison
That would be irrelevant to the symbiote
It's like asking "does a dog know Daredevil is Matt Murdock?" It knows that it smells the same but it doesn't know that other humans think they're different people.
The blindspot would be the second time the Venom symbiote's lost this knowledge. The first time was when Eddie Brock suffered a severe concussion and seemed to forget, himself.
It wouldn't matter anymore anyway, because Peter's not Spider-Man anymore, yes?
Venom and Carnage don't set off Peter's spider-sense. Venom's because as you said it was bonded to Peter. Carnage doesn't set it off because he was a part of Venom. Neither Venom nor Carnage set off Ben's spider-sense although I don't know if Carnage became immune to it because he bonded with Ben at one point and they didn't encounter each other again after they separated.
From now on we're poison to you Spider-Man. That's why we call ourselves... VENOM!!!
I think Carnage still set off Ben's spider sense afterward...
just checked carnage's first appearance. this is the first time i've read it in 10 years. i misinterpreted the art and it appeared as though the spider-sense was triggered by carnage but it was not. Venom did indeed trigger ben's spider sense during their first battle. I believe in planet of the symbiote's, ben's spider-sense was triggered by carnage.
It does but writers have done away with the idea of it sharing info and having it be more of a primal mind. It recognized Kaine and flipped its lid in the Minimum Carnage event. But the symbiote is effectively neutered for most of the time Flash has had it, so they rarely are that close to the point that in the latest issues of Venom, Flash isn't able to tell if Pym actually did lobotomize the suit or if it is just bidding its time since it will at times still act on its own.
Agreed. The symbiote could just be waiting for the right moment...
