That's wasn't "the original Buck Rogers" thoughthis was:
Buster Crabbe is every space-hero.
I checked Wiki and that was 2008, for 2010 they linked to an Deadline article that says:
Deadline also says:Paul WS Anderson has locked a deal to direct a new version of the classic tale of a fighter pilot who quickly acclimates to the future and puts his skills to use defending the planet against invaders. The character launched in the 1920s and has been the subject of comic books, radio and movie serials, and two TV series, the latter of which ran on NBC and starred Gil Gerard.
Iron Man scribes Art Marcum and Matt Holloway will write the screenplay.
The Buck Rogers rights are controlled by Paradox, the company behind a new version of Conan the Barbarian that is currently shooting in Bulgaria
Buck Rogers , the only episode i always remember is the space vampire one.
Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2 century.
Religion is like a fart. It's only good when all the others stink.
I would love to see a Buck Rogers film. Not one by Frank Miller, The Spirit was crap along with his latter graphic novels.
I've never cared for nor liked Frank Miller's books nor movies. It is my hope and prayer that Scott Snyder, Peter Berg or J.J. Abrams will produce and create the new Buck Rogers movie. Back in 2010 SyFy Channel announced that they had ordered and put into production a Buck Rogers TV series that would first debut online but we've heard and seen nothing of it. I loved SyFy's reboot of Flash Gordon and so I'm curious as to what happened to their Buck Rogers series.
Wow, I think you might be the only person I've ever met of that is a fan of that reboot. I have a feeling the horrendous ratings the Flash Gordon reboot got factored in on the decision to do a Buck Rogers reboot.
Then again, SyFy does love to produce truly awful movies. I'm surprised they haven't hired Uwe Boll as a featured writer yet.
