Default Why no Buck Rogers live-action movie?

I am wondering the status of this property. With the current state of special effects and Hollywood literally remaking ever thing under the sun this one seems like a no-brainer to me. I'm also a huge fan of the buster Crabbe serials among other serial films from that era. The special effects then are laughable compared to today but still they don't take away from the story. Has anyone heard any news about plans for this franchise?

They were working on a Buck Rogers movie, but I haven't seen anything about it for a few years now.

You know there is a buck rogers RPG video game? Yeah..it's weird. Boom:

I particularly like "the vacuum of space is no place to lose a shoot-out!".

A woman can move a lot faster with her skirt up than a man can with his pants down.

    This is why.

The Punisher: I’m going to cauterize your rectum, sealing it shut, so when you turn those delicious Pink Pants™ Fruit Pies into waste products the bilirubin in your feces will leach into your bloodstream and you’ll die screaming! And I’ll watch while having sex with this grateful prostitute!

Trussed-Up Hooker: Blueberry are my favorite!

In other words, what StoneGold said.

There is nothing wrong with the original Buck Rogers. And who could play Erin Gray's role? Nobody. That's who.

wow, I hope that is true. I think he would respect the original comic strip and still make it appeal to people who have never heard of the franchise.

That was a while back, like, before The Spirit came out. Last I saw the Iron Man guys were writing it, and it was going to be directed by Paul W. S. Anderson.

Because no actress could fill Erin Gray´s shoes.

The only thing I remember about that movie was a butt shot of Eva Mendes. What else has he directed?

I think you mean hot pants, not shoes.

    Twiki knows the score.
