Default Jonathan Hickman Brings The World To Marvel NOW! Avengers

    Nothing too huge, but

    - Shang Chi gets the spotlight in issue #6 and has a very specific role on the team.
    - There's something unique about the new Captain Universe that somehow keeps the power from passing onto other people.
    - Hyperion is a new version.
    - Old villains will be showing up, but in new ways. So no classic incarnation of the Masters of Evil.

This was a great interview that encapsulated and clarified several things that Hickman mentioned in his Q&A.

Loved the hint about Hyperion. Can't wait to see what's going on there, and Shangi Chi getting a chance to shine.

    Agreed 100%.

Clearly you've got to have a thick skin as a creator.

I agree. I was starting to think that he must be getting exhausted at all these questions about the book before its out, specifically the questions on diversity. But even after all of this he's still taking everything in stride and handling everything like a consummate professional. I'd love to have a beer with the guy sometime.

Lol at Sam and Bobby being vanity picks. And add one more Hyperion in the multiverse!
I am not an Avengers fan nor an X-Men fan.I am a Marvel fan for life.
Check out Gambit by James Asmus. You won't regret it!

I liked that he answered the complaints about him keeping Vision, Wasp, Pm, Quicksilver and some other classics off the roster. He's interested in writing who he wants to write, not catering to nostalgia. I like that he's so upfront about it.

I really liked what he had to say about Hyperion and Captain Universe. Addressed my two concerns about those characters head on
