I like having Kubert on the book. The last fill-in artist was completely different from Capullo's artwork. Like Mike Allred different.

Maleev is also pretty awesome, should be a stellar book... but is it his first dc stuff?

Definitely not, he did the first story arc in Batman: No Man's Land, way back in 1999, long before he did anything at Marvel.

He designed Cass Cain's Batgirl costume.

Correct, in the above mentioned story arc. It was, of course, Huntress inside the costume at the time.

Feel the same way. Batman losing his biological son could add a nice foil to the fact that he was also orphaned (I probably am biased though as I dislike Damian).

If anyone is killing Damian, it's Grant.

It's one thing for them to write the ubiquitous ". . .nothing will ever be the same again!" or "shocking conclusion!", but "unspeakable tragedy" ? Nope. It can't just be that Babs and Dicky refuse to return Bruce's phone calls. Sounds like a gankfest to me.

Yeah, I can't see Damian's story ending in Batman before the end of Inc. I was just hoping out loud.

I was SO happy to read this! Andy Kubert is one of my favorite comics artists and I loved his Batman run with Grant. The sneak peek of art they released looks superb, Kubert does a killer job on the New 52 costume. I really like Harper Row too, plus Alex Maleev on Batman...I just can't wait to read this. Phenomenal selection of fill-in artists. The artist choices (Capullo, Albuquerque, Cloonan, Clarke, Jock, Kubert, Maleev) on this title are just totally top-notch.
