If you don't recall "Miracles, Inc.", here they are, from Harvey's UNEARTHLY SPECTACULARS No. 2, December, 1966.
And Sam Grainger's "Sentinels" was the back-up series in most issues of Charlton's PETER CANNON...THUNDERBOLT.

Unearthly Spectaculars was already on my want list (along with the other short-lived mid-'60s Harvey forays into superheroics, of which I own only the couple of issues of whatever title featured Jig-Saw, or something like that). Now it's on there even more.
I tend to split superhero comics fans into "People who like Krypto" and "People who don't like Krypto."
Basically, if you miss the wonder of a dog flying around in a little Superman cape, you're in the wrong hobby.

To further whet your appetite, here's Wood's "Miracles, Inc." splash page. The third issue of UNEARTHLY SPECTACULARS includes a second "Miracles, Inc." story, but be warned; it's by Joe Orlando and although okay, doesn't display a fraction of the charm of Wood's initial story.
And here's a panel from Sam Grainger's "Sentinels", just for good measure!

Oh yeah ! That is sharp ! Where's it from ? Did Alex Ross do that ?
A couple that barely got nudged off the list include :
L.E.G.I.O.N. - the best sci-fi group title you never read
Top Ten - My show tv show of all-time, Hill Street Blues, and a crazy cross-dimensional setting kinda like Munden's Bar from Grimjack
the Authority - what the X-Men did for team comics in the 70's, the Authority did later, raising the bar

It's from...
Mythology: The DC Comics Art of Alex Ross by Alex Ross
When I saw this some years ago I wanted to be wall paper on my computer, but the funny thing is...I couldn't find it on the internet. So I had to scanned it from the book.
It's really the best portrayed image of the JSA from Alex Ross yet.

In the order I typed them...
Action League Now http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0475182/
Mighty Heroes! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0060007/
Fantastic Four
Legion of Super Heroes
Justice Society of America
JLI Super-Buddies
Power Man and Iron Fist
Morrison’s Doom Patrol
And two more I haven't picked yet.

Not sure if that was the first mention of Top 10, but if so it's definitely about time. Great comic, great characters.
Along with that one, I'll take (in no particular order)
Teen Titans (original '60s version)
JSA
Legion of Super-Heroes ('60s version through the last few years, the Waid "threeboot" very much included)
Young Justice (the late '90s comic; I gather there's another version around today, but I'm unacquainted with it as of this writing)
Great Lakes Avengers
Defenders (mid-'70s version)
Inferior Five
X-Men (original version)
JLI

... Though that omits the THUNDER Agents.
And Nextwave.
And the Noble Causes guys.
And the BPRDers.
And whatever the team in Young Heroes in Love might've been called.
Not to mention, for godssakes, the fershlugginer Howling Commandos.
Back to the drawing board ...

there making new warriors omnibus
I always had this perverse idea of taking the Teen Titans, Superboy, LOSH and all other juniors and putting them in a brand new title called SUPER HEROES IN TRAINING (or S.H.I.T.)
I'd also revamp the ALL STAR SQUADRON (A.S.S.) by only giving members with great asses membership...clearly it will be all female.
Uh, oh yeah, my Top 10 would include the JLA, Uncanny X-Men, Ultimate X-Men....
1 Kings 21:23
And of Jezebel also spake the LORD, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.
