    Default (dark) comic recommendations

    Hey guys!

Very new to comics, read and loved Batman: The Black Mirror, and now I'm looking for something in a similar vein.

Just a few things that describes what I'm looking for in reference to The Black Mirror:

-I loved the art style, and would prefer something a little more painterly like that compared to a more standard(?) style

-The dark vibe of it too was awesome, I'm really up for giving any hero (marvel or DC) a shot, as long as they and they're environment are portrayed a pretty dark manner. Of course batman is probably most reliably the most suitable for this trait, researching the other Batman novels I tended to find more lackluster art and overall atmosphere.

-Also a strong narrative is definitely important to me, and was probably a slight downside in The Black Mirror.

-And finally, I'm really wanting a hard cover novel around the same length/price as Black Mirror ($15-25, ~300 pages), I'm sure there's a name for this kind of thing, but as I said, very new to comics haha :P

Thanks so much for any recommendations. I Realise it might be a bit of an ask to combine all those traits into one but anything along those lines I'd love to check out.
Hope to hear from some of you! :)
