I understand, I am getting SO many books tomorrow that I probably won't have time to read all of them until January either. I will obviously be reading Thunderbolts #2 first though, lol!

I was concerned with the size of my pull list tomorrow (34 books to my count), until I looked at next week where there's only two books on my list coming out.

    So, it's a case of feast & famine. :D

I totally am. Daniel Way better show the motivation. He was talking more about this comic in interviews then in the actual comic itself.

This is true. What he has to say about this book in interviews is really great, but he needs to actually back that talk up!

That is certainly fortunate for your wallet!

I was originally just going to pick up Thunderbolts, but I figured with so many series starting at a fresh beginning, I may as well broaden my horizons.

I just read Hulk #14-18 and Rulk wanted to change the world using the Intelligencia because super heroes were damaging the MU. But the Intelligencia wanted to hold his secret identity over him as an insurance, so they set up Domino to watch a meeting with Rulk in his human form, and then Rulk appeared. Rulk was again set up by being given a list of his team of Electra, Punisher, Deadpool, and Thundra. When the dust cleared, Rulks team had made a deal with the X-Force to not divulge each others existence.

My only worry now is with TBolts forming the same team, does Rulk want to continue his Intelligencia agenda again, and get rid of super humans? Or has Rulks stint in the Avengers softened Rulks opinion on being a super hero? Originally, the team was formed to track down Domino and bring her to Rulk. It would be interesting to see how far Rulk has progressed since World War Hulks and what he reformed the TBolts for.

In the second issue, we find that the Thunderbolts are going after a dictator in Kata Jaya (apparently near Madripoor) who has gotten his hands on highly illegal gamma radiation projectile weaponry.

The team's mission statement just appears to be taking out targets that would typically go under the radar of a larger team like the Avengers, whether it be because of it's relative insignificance compared to the level of threats they typically face, or because there would be legal quandaries that would make an excursion difficult.

I am probably in the minority, but I thought issue #2 was much better, and is setting up an interesting dynamic.

No, I think you're right. Other than my gripe about PooloVision, this was a vast improvement from #1. I hope that Way goes up from here . . . time will tell.
I'm interested enough to read through the first arc before making a definitive decision on whether to add this to my pull list. Really excitied for Mercy's intro!

Actually I think most all agree issue #2 was better. But really that isn't saying much. It's damning with faint praise cause the bar was so low with issue #1 that #2 couldn't help but be better no matter what. Still doesn't mean those, like me, agreeing with that are sold on the this book as of yet. Art is still bad and will be for the whole arc.
