    BLACK.

    BOLT.

SSM is fishy as hell. I just hope it's actually still Spider-Man. Only two books I'm set on are Avengers and New Avengers. Uncanny Avengers didn't impress me as much as it should have, and Superior is... shaping up to turn me off Spider-Man as much as Miles turned me off Ultimate.
How can someone be unimpressed with Uncanny Avengers?

    SCARLET WITCH IS THERE!

    SCARLET.

    WITCH.

Plus Alex, Steve, Janet and Simon! I'll happily follow along with Hickman's Avengers and New Avengers, but if I lost my job tomorrow and was forced to choose, I'd be Uncanny all the way. That book = perfection.

If we could get 24 issues (or more) of every series in a year, I'd be full chuffed! There's no such thing as 'too much' of a good thing. That's just crazy talk.
I'm only okay with them double shipping X-Men and Hickman's Avengers, but I really wish they would chill with all the other books. I really wanna read Cable and X-Force but that is double shipping and I have a budget. Uncanny Avengers just is not doing it for me, I don't see the need for that team at all.

I have really enjoyed the first 2 issues of Uncanny Avengers, enough that I would still buy it even if it double-shipped. It would be better than having to wait 2 months between issues, like we had to do on the first two books.

That's what I am going to do. I'm going to buy the first two issues of Avengers this month, and I will check out the first issue of New Avengers next month. I just have a bad feeling that I am going to like them both. Well at least one good thing, Before Watchmen Minutemen ends in January, so that's $3.99 more back in my comic book budget.

The new flagship Avengers title looks fantastic and the reviews have been glowing thus far, but it ships bi-weekly. Should I go ahead and buy this title twice a month, or would I be better suited picking up two seperate titles like New Avengers and Secret Avengers?
In general, if a comic interests me I say give the first issue a try. If you love it, THEN worry about how you can get all your comics; but let that problem arise only if it needs to. Try each of the 1st issues; and see what takes your fancy (and maybe just pick the one you loved most). Out of the ones you listed, New Avengers sounds the most EPIC. But, may I suggest one you didn't list:

    Reasons to try it:
    a) Kieron Gillen's Journey into Mystery starring KidLoki was INCREDIBLE (and critically acclaimed); and he's both writing this comic AND bringing in KidLoki to the cast
    b) the art is GORGEOUS
    c) it will be about life, and love, and music and joy!
    d) I could be wrong, but I believe it will be $2.99 and not $3.99

I'm not completely set on Superior Spider-Man. In fact, if it came right down to it based off what I have read thus far, I would pick New Avengers over this book. I will try out both the first issues and go from there. What do you think about Secret Avengers? I have never read this book before, but I am really intrigued by the concept.

Same here. Me reading Superior all depends on how Amazing Spider Man #700 ends.

    - decide whether you like solo books or team books better
    - pick a few characters you absolutely love (this works better when they're not A-list)
    - read the books featuring the characters you want to read about

That's how I did it, and I am on an extremely tight budget. (I spend maybe $20 a month) Though it helps that I have no interest in the 'flagship' books and aside from Thor all my books are $2.99.

I tend to go with team books, with the exception of Batman and Green Lantern, because I feel you get more bang for your buck. There are more characters featured, and usually big, epic storylines that affect the whole marvel/dc universe. Other than Thor, what other books are you reading?

Ah, see, I prefer either solos or smaller teams (the huge Avengers and Uncanny Avengers teams completely put me off). I also prefer character study to giant battles, so it really depends on what your definition of 'bang' is. If it's 20 pages of a ton of characters doing battle, you're going to want a different book than the person who's perfectly happy reading about people sitting around and talking so long as the conversation is engaging. Anyway, I'm currently reading Hawkeye, Captain Marvel, Journey Into Mystery, and will be adding Young Avengers in January and Fearless Defenders in February. I'm going back and forth on New Avengers.
