That interior art looks incredible. My money remains on this book being the breakout hit with the CBR super-fan crowd.

Humphries' enthusiasm and understanding of the cast has sold and god bless Lowe for approving this. 90's art vibe is cautiously okay, but I'm more interested in second artist. Plz let it be Coipel, and not Deodato.

It's not going to be Coipel or Deodato. Sorry. They're over in Avengers land.

Good! Then it's a great costume!
From what little X-men I've read, I think she's a cool character and I plan to check this out for her. I 'm also thinking of getting Remender's X-Force, because I hear she has a prominent role in it.
Any other trades/HCs focusing on her? What's Psylocke's essential reading for a Psylocke newbie?

Read the whole Remender's Uncanny X-Force. It's an excellent series and probably one of the best X-books along with Gillen's Uncanny X-Men and Wood's X-Men (where Psylocke also plays a decent role)
Remender's UXF is very essential to where she's going to be in the new volume of the series. I do think the book plays an important role in defining Psylocke.

After that, try Psylocke Mini (2010/2011) by Chris Yost. It has an introduction of where Betsy was (before the transformation) and some great action, especially the Wolverine vs Psylocke fight.

If you want to go further, read the 80's Claremont's Uncanny X-Men in the Australian Outback + Act of Vengeace (where the Transformation of Psylocke happened) + X-Men (90's) issue #1-7 (where the Blue-Gold Team formed).

    Hope that helps

LOL, what's wrong with having a boob window for crying out loud?

You're into the wrong character if you're turned off by a character who likes to flaunt assets.

I liked Garney's sketchy style he's been doing the past few years but this is amazing stuff. Has an Adam Kubert vibe to it. Damn, yet another book added to the pull list....
Support titles that need supporting. Quit buying, reading and complaining about comics you don't enjoy.

It's totally not objectifying the female form if you colour their tits purple.

You can also find alot of the older Captain Britain Trades cheap on Ebay or Amazon. They show alot of why Psylocke would want to join the X-men. These aren't the Ret-conned versions of her. Like the Stupid issue where they show her in combat fatigues training for STRIKE... She was an agent, but NOT a combatant, more like remote spy.
She also didn't have much of the Hero streak they retconned her into having. She donned the costume because no one else would. She was a more reluctant heroine. But tht set up her run in the American issues.

They should really revisit her days in Britain. Especially showing how she cared for the warpies.
