I'm against female Smasher. A human on the Imperial Guard doesn't make any sense. A human on the Imperial Guard and on the Avengers makes even less sense to me.

in fact I'm surprised it's taken this long for a human super being to be part of the Imperial Guard.
Although it's interesting - with Hyperion and Smasher, The Avengers will have two members who are direct homages to DC characters (Superman and UltraBoy).

I think Cannonball will be a great addition and the new characters add some much needed power to the team.

But Sunspot, a consistent loser, doesn't have a place on the Avengers and it reeks of Remender's "I put my favourite character in places where they have no right to be" shtick.
