Adults struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life when the answer is obvious to the smallest child: because it's not real. - Grant Morrison

"I am Loki Scar-Lip, Loki Skywalker, Loki Giant's Child, Loki Lie-Smith. I am Loki, who is fire and wit and hate. I am Loki. And I will be under an obligation to no one."
I don't think people would care as much about Peter "cheating" on Gwen as they do about Gwen "cheating" on Peter. Gwen doesn't have to be this uninterrupted virgin goody two-shoes for the story of her and Pete's romance to work.
Perfect humility dispenses with modesty.

But if you undo "Sins Past", you undo Norman admitting that he wanted to kill Gwen. All you are left with is his account of how he just threw her off the bridge just to frighten Spidey and how he intended to catch her before Peter interrupted by grabbing her with his web line and snapping her neck.
Making Gwen's death more accidental and more of Peter's doing than Norman's.
But Norman intentionally went out of his way to kill Baby May. Which was simply despicable.
True. And I wouldn't really put it past the Ditko era Gwen to do something outrageous like sleep with Norman on a whim.
I'm really curious about the "sleeping with Gwen" responses. Icky? Sure. But it wasn't rape, and we have no evidence it was part of some larger scheme. So...what makes him any more heinous than Hugh Hefner?
(Granted, his treatment of Gwen after he found out she was his Baby-momma was pretty loathsome, as well as his plans for the mini-goblins, but that's a separate issue.)
Sure, that has worked for decades.
Now, we don’t believe Osborn for a second on this do we?
No, Pete tried to Save her; the Goblin threw her off the bridge.
Yes, now this one I have to give you.
