I too shall go with Post-Crisis versions.

Captain America Vs Batman: Batman. The Ultility Belt is his friend here. Without it, I'd give this to Steve.

Iron Man vs Wonder Woman: Wonder Woman, for pretty much every reason folks above have mentioned. She has the speed, she has the strength. What Tony doesn't have is a chance in hell.

Thor Vs Superman: Superman. Speed all the way. Without it, Thor ought to be able to do stupid hammer tricks to win.

Hulk Vs Shazam: Shazam (yes, he is called that now) hurls Hulk into orbit.

The Vision Vs Martain Manhunter: Dunno J'oon's speed, but there is literally nothing Vision can do to him. Best he can manage is to go intangible and stay that way for a draw. But everyone else has mentioned Manhunter's speed, so he probably just tears Vision apart at the bell.

Wolverine Vs Lobo: Lobo fights guys like Superman. That means that when this fight starts, he hits Logan so hard that all the flesh literally explodes off of that adamantium skeleton. Even if Logan can somehow regenerate from that, he's a lot softer without his metal bones.

Deadpool Vs Deathstroke: Not really familiar enough with either to say, but from the sounds of things Deathstroke has the edge in combat, but none of it sticks due to Deadpool being an immortal regenerating guy. I'd guess he can take Deadpool apart, confiscate his weapons, and sit on him while applying a joint lock while waiting for the ten-count, though.

The Invisible Woman Vs Aquaman: Yup, Aquaman is pretty powerful even on land. That means he's having a pretty powerful seizure when bloodlusted Sue does the aneurysm thing.

As for the media stuff, I honestly didn't bother reading that part. I guess if I had to pick the best series and movies I've seen, I'll go with Batman: TAS for series, and the Avengers and various lead ins for movies.

Not such a big fan of X-Men: TAS, even if it did give us this classic moment:

Assuming you're asking who would win in a fight for the first section and asking for faves in the 2nd and 3rd:

    Characters:

Captain America Vs Batman: I'd say it's about even money

    Iron Man vs Wonder Woman

    Thor Vs Superman

Hulk Vs Shazam (as long as he puts him down early)

    The Vision Vs Martain Manhunter

    Wolverine Vs Lobo

    Deadpool Vs Daethstroke

    The Invisible Woman Vs Aquaman

    Movies

The Avengers Vs The Dark Knight Rises

The Avengers Vs The Dark Knight

    Iron Man Vs Batman Begins

X-Men Vs Superman (assuming you're referring to the Donner/Reeve film)

    Spider-Man 2 Vs Batman (1989)

Elektra Vs Catwoman: haven't seen either

The Incredible Hulk VS Green Lantern

    Telivision

Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes Vs Justice Leaugue/Justice League Unlimted (close though)

Spectacular Spider-Man Vs Batman: The Brave and the Bold

X-Men:The Animated Sereies Vs Batman: The Animated Series

Planet Hulk VS Justice League: Doom (good movie, but the GL and Superman traps were just stupid)
Pull List; seems to be too long to fit in my sig...

    OK, one on one fights:

I assume that we are talking about NuDC where we can, not post-crisis, since we've now got more than a year of data.

My fellow Rumblers have a pretty good idea here, except on one fight -

Batman with gear should edge Steve thanks to sonics and AoE's.

Here's the difference I see: Current Tony STOMPS current Diana, doesn't he? What feats does she have against someone with his speed, his durability and his damage output? I haven't seen anything from her yet that would show the ability to take what Stark can dish, to catch him, or to hurt him in the slightest. Granted, I've skipped the last several issues, but I hadn't seen anything over class 10-ish, with no real speed, questionable if she can even fly, and not-all-that-impressive durability. Maybe they've ramped her up some, but I sure haven't seen it yet. Stark has high durability, a potent defensive field, massively hypersonic travel speed, high-speed targetting computers out the yin yang, targetted and AoE beams, blasts, missiles, projectiles, sonics... What the hell is she going to do?

Supes is still too fast for Thor, and his silly, totally-over-the-top, WTF were you doing there for 5 days "bench-pressing the planet's weight" feat gives him the strength to make it stick.

I haven't seen NuShazam yet (other than the setup in the back of JL for the first 7-8 issues), so I have no idea. Assuming that he's, as always, roughly equal to Clark puts him way the hell out of Hulk's league.

Does Martian Manhunter have any feats yet? He had one brief reference in JL, but has he appeared since? Assuming that he has, and assuming that his powers are roughly the same as ever, he should smoosh Vision before he can phase. If not, it's a starvation contest. Are there cookies in the arena?

    Lobo can 10-count Logan easily.

Slade should be able to 10-count Wade.

Susan blows up Aquaman at the bell.

    For the films:

The Avengers Vs The Dark Knight Rises - Not even close.

The Avengers Vs The Dark Knight - I think that everyone forgets, in the wake of Ledger-gate, that the movie just wasn't all that great: the plot wasn't particularly clever, the action, while better than TDKR, wasn't that amazing, and the movie dragged - significantly - at many points. Ledger's performance was fantastic: quirky, fun, dark, brutal and generally very well played, but the rest of the film wasted Freeman, Oldman, Bale...

Iron Man Vs Batman Begins - BB was terrific, but IM seriously raised the bar for superhero films.

X-Men Vs Superman (assuming you're referring to the Donner/Reeve film) - X-Men had better effects, a more poignant message, and better actors in all places but one. Superman, though, defined a genre, did it well, and included Gene Hackman.

Spider-Man 2 Vs Batman (1989) - Batman kind of re-changed the genre that Superman defined, making it dark and lethal. Too bad the rest of the series was trash until Baleman showed up.

Elektra Vs Catwoman: Have only seen all of Elektra, and it was so bad that I'll give the win to Catwoman, sight unseen.

The Incredible Hulk VS Green Lantern - Green Lantern was AWFUL. Just having Ed Norton in the cast makes Hulk a better film.

I wish that, if a thread is being forcibly moved to Rumbles, they'd delete all the answers in which people have been "getting Rumbles wrong" first.

Seriously, there are people laughing at people's answers before "correcting" them with their lists and getting them even more wrong.

Wolverine is listed as beating Lobo in the majority of these answers. NO.

This should not be in Rumbles because the opening 2 pages are asking for Rumblers to pick them apart.

Guys, let's move away from discussing the answers of people who posted on this thread before it was moved to Rumbles. Nothing good ever comes of that. It's here now, it'll be hashed out via Rumbles rules from the point where it was moved.

Though honestly, I like this one:

    Catagories:

    Characters:

Captain America Vs Batman - Captain America in a close fight.

Iron Man vs Wonder Woman - Wonder Woman.

    Thor Vs Superman - Draw.

    Hulk Vs Shazam - Hulk.

The Vision Vs Martain Manhunter - MM.

Wolverine Vs Lobo - Lobo destroys Wolverine. He's always been one of my favorite X-Men characters but Lobo outclasses him big time.

Deadpool Vs Daethstroke - Deadpool, barely.

The Invisible Woman Vs Aquaman - Odd fight but I think I.W could beat him with an unbreakable shield.

    Movies

The Avengers Vs The Dark Knight Rises - The Avengers.

The Avengers Vs The Dark Knight - The Avengers.

Iron Man Vs Batman Begins - Draw. Both are very good origin stories but the tones are very different.

    X-Men Vs Superman - Supermna.

    Spider-Man 2 Vs Batman (1989) - Spider-Man 2.

Elektra Vs Catwoman - Tough one. I'd say Elektra simply because I could actually watch the entire movie.

The Incredible Hulk VS Green Lantern - Incredible Hulk.

I left out the television section since I haven't seen any of them.

Deadpool, I seem to remember as having the superior healing factor, while Deathstroke, the superior strength speed and reaction time.

If you mean popularity, Avengers is a foregone conclusion. We're at, what?...$2 billion in sales or some such for Avengers? Batman goes down hard and fast in a fight.

Iron Man for sure. In popularity and in a fight.

X-Men has been the more popular franchise OVERALL (the latest Superman installment did $150 million, I thought, but the movie cost a lot more). The last Superman was decidedly not a success. Maybe Christopher Nolan can pull it off. In a fight, don't see how Superman doesn't win here.

I seem to remember the early Batman movies as being mostly blockbusters, but so was Spider-Man 2 that did $150 million OPENING weekend. Going with SM2. Spider-Man wins in a combat situation.

Agreed. Although it is fun to pick apart all of these reasons. Picking things apart gives Pen something to do.

    Characters:

Captain America Vs Batman- Just barely, courtesy of his utility belt

    Iron Man vs Wonder Woman

    Thor Vs Superman

    Hulk Vs Shazam

    The Vision Vs Martian Manhunter

Wolverine Vs Lobo- Lobo's not throwing the fight this time.

    Deadpool Vs Deathstroke

    The Invisible Woman Vs Aquaman

    Movies

The Avengers Vs The Dark Knight Rises - Both were great IMO, but TDKR's ambition exceeded it's grasp whilst The Avengers hit every right note and succeeded stupendously at what it was going for.

The Avengers Vs The Dark Knight - I disagree with the poster who said that Ledger was the only good thing about TDK. But this isn't the right forum to pick apart films and their problems, so I'll leave my comment at that.

    Iron Man Vs Batman Begins

    X-Men Vs Superman

    Spider-Man 2 Vs Batman (1989)

Elektra Vs Catwoman- Elektra by default since I've never seen the Halle Berry flick.

The Incredible Hulk VS Green Lantern

    Telivision

Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes Vs Justice League/Justice League Unlimited

Spectacular Spider-Man Vs Batman: The Brave and the Bold

X-Men:The Animated Series Vs Batman: The Animated Series
