I have to say that Dynamite's The Masksis a nice solid read and I have been wondering if this has ever been done before,teaming up the Green Hornet & The Shadow before?

No, but DC had did a Doc Savage/Shadow team-up in the '80s.

That was a particularly good crossover. The villain in the piece was the real name of an earlier Shadow hero, "The Shadow of Wallstreet". Originally Posted by Shellhead
There was a one-issue story of the Shadow teaming up with the Avenger which is an enjoyable read, my favorite of the DC's Shadow comics.

FYI- there are already 2 threads for "Masks" over in the Independents forum area.
Keep in mind that the Green Hornet and The Shadow are owned by different companies. Its hard to have characters from different companies meet/team up.
(Doc and the Shadow are owned by the same company, btw)

Both DC & Dark Horse had Shadow / Doc crossovers.
DC crossed over their Doc Savage and The Shadow Strikes ! series' with the 4 part "The Conflagration Man" storyline.
