I finally saw this last night and I enjoyed it a ton. I kind of thought it dragged on a tad leading up to the big race but that's really like the only issue I can even hope to think of with the movie.
Eh, Comics is a pretty cool guy...

My favorite movies this year (so far. I'm sure The Hobbit will be added to this list-):

1-The Avengers: Lots of action, humor, drama, and just plain fun! loved it.
2-The Dark Knight Rises: The best story of the three Batman movies imo. very cool movie.
3-John Carter: I wish this movie had done better because I would love to revisit the world presented in this movie. Fun, action packed, wonderful movie.
4-The Amazing Spider-man: The best Spider-man movie ever. Fun story, plus Spidey is finally funny & movie Gwen is better than movie MJ imo.
5-Brave: Pixar NEVER lets me down. Brave had great animation and while its story was more Disney than Pixars usual movies, it was still really, really good.

(note: I have not seen Skyfall or Wreck-it Ralph and likely won't till next year. The Hobbit I'll see later this month & I have a feeling it'll be #1 on my list after that).

New addition is Seven Pyschopaths. It was one of the craziest but amazing films I have seen and is right up with the best for the year.

    Cloud Atlas

    Cabin in the Woods

    Rock of Ages

The first one for the year was Cabin in the Woods.

A bit early to ask the question though - the year isn't over yet and films like Django and The Hobbit aren't out yet.

I've got to agree with the Avengers.
I thought Prometheus was great despite it's obvious flaws.
Saw the Master a couple weeks ago and that was impressive.

I've yet to see Cloud Atlas (which I think will probably be my favorite)
And I've yet to see Moonrise Kingdom.. but look forward to that..

    as well as the Hobbit.
