No but some people just dwell on the negative aspects of things, it's fine to point out flaws in something (it makes discussions here more interesting) it's just that some people will point out something's flaws but aren't willing to also point out any positives it had. Like I said I think Avengers was overrated but I still liked the movie and rather talk about the things I did like in it rather than what I didn't like about it. With people who constantly bash on Nolan you'll rarely hear them say anything remotely positive about his films, almost like they're afraid of saying something good about popular movies.

I could have come into the thread and said "They should ask him about how the pacing was off, and i thought the last action scene was terreficly exciting>"
Would probably just change the response to
"God, why do people have to point out the negative, and i agree on your second point"
Positives don't really lead to discussion on a film, it leads to agreement.

I appreciate that the guy gave near a decade of his life to bring Batman to the big screen in a fantastic film series

the movies do have issues, and there are some serious plot holes in TDKR, but I still enjoy them immensely

Exactly this. All three movies have their own issues (some bigger than others), but they're all still very enjoyable films. Do I think they're a tad over rated? Yes, but that wont stop me from enjoying them.

Oh and jesse custer you still didn't still didn't answer Lancerman's question on why you'd even bother responding to a thread about "yet another Nolan-on-Batman interview". which leads into my theory that them being so popular and highly rated by so many people is what makes coming in here and bashing them worthwhile and know you probably won't admit it but you probably do get some sort of kick deep down from bashing them and getting a response from the fans of the film. Because be honest you wouldn't go out of your way to make snarky comments about a movie no one cares about, would you?
