It's cool, because I'll be going through that back-to-work depression. Kids'll be at home playing with all the cool stuff...but at least I'll get to download ASM 700 off comixology!
Of course, if they kill Peter Parker, my day is going to SUUUUUUCK.

Holiday's generally push new comics a day ahead in my burg, and on Boxing Day I'm on the road anyway all day so I can easily pick it up on the 27th! Probably be a lot of copies too since Boxing Day everyone's gonna be quite busy, hell, if it's even released that day.
This might sound terrible, but... er... it's Christmas. Why not just enjoy it, hang out with your loved ones, and accept that you will get a marginally imperfect copy of the comic book? You could even consider it a Christmas present of spending time with them, and you might find yourself enjoying it more if you're not rushing back to be at the comics shop when it opens. Just ask them to hold a copy for you and be content.
Did anyone else see boxing day think Mary Jane had had enough of the Black Cat, and I would need two copies of this book?
For those unfamiliar with it, Boxing Day is a traditional holiday in the UK (and, I believe, much of the Commonwealth) on the 26th of December (*) when various after Christmas activities take place. It has the status of a bank/public holiday in the UK but in recent years it has become traditional for the big name shops to open with the post Christmas sales. However a lot of the smaller and specialist shops don't open on Boxing Day and for that matter public transport isn't good - few railways run a service (the exceptions mainly being airport services) and the London Underground is facing a drivers' strike. So for a lot of us here the issue won't be accessible even if we do go shopping that day.
(* There's a really long and rather boring argument about whether or not a Saturday or a Sunday can be Boxing Day. Just don't go there.)
