AND FINALLY, I've had several PMs dying to know who I think would win in the Arena. Cammi VS Chase Stein!!!! In an epic battle of bitching, Cammi will convince Chase they need to go after Arcade. The two will get close, but kill an LMD instead. Cammi knows it was LMD all along though and reveals that Arcade is he one who rescued her from space and she's working for him! She'll grab X-23's unattached arm and prepare to stab Chase with her claw when suddenly Old Lace will appear and chow down on Cammi. Chase will win in the Arena!

Mettle, maybe. Hazmat at least makes it to day 29. In a month there should be quite a few dead teens (and Darkhawks) before you get to Hazmat.

I think Mettle is definitely the noble sacrifice type. Hazmat should go out in a blaze of glory taking everyone in a 50 mile radius with her and making the are unlivable for hundreds more. Then she should come back and give Arcade cancer with a smirk on her face before dissipating. The remaining survivors are freed and go on to form the New Warriors after their birth by fire.

I want Hazmet to make it towards the end because you know her whining will give her character that extra bit of satisfying closure.

Excellent choice. Chase was always my least favorite Runaway, i can't stand him. His death at the hands of a berserk X-23 would be fittingly gruesome and gratifying.

Of nearly 300 people polled so far across 4 web sites, only 51 have expressed interest in this thing. From the discussion I've seen so far, it is showing primarily to be for the most repugnant of reasons. Sure, they have a strong interest in it. However, they appear to be a vocal minority.

Which is why I phrased things as I did and did not speak in absolutes (or at least tried not to). This is how it appears. How it actually plays out only time will tell. Polls can only suggest things, not predict.

Why does the fact that you don't get them make them douches?

I'm all for patriotism but don't be a prick about it. I'm sure there are SOME American writers who write them well. Since I'm not someone who pretends things I don't like aren't canon I recognize the non-sense around those characters. All of them are a mess.

I've read every appearance Captain Britain has ever made and most of those of his siblings, and I can't see how any of it's a mess, except for some truly dire issues of Excalibur by non-British writers. Even those do actually make sense in terms of the character's history; they're just not very good.

I dont know how many of these characters are mutants, but how about his Sentinel reverts to type and kills a mutant kid and X-23 chops Juston in half
