You'd probably also like Justice League Dark, which I recommend you start reading at the begging of Lemire's run on the book (I believe he took over with #9).

If you're looking to get into Marvel books, I very strongly recommend Thor: God of Thunder. It just started last month and it's only two issues in so far. You don't need to have any prior knowledge going into the series, so it's a perfect place to start.
Justice League Dark and Thor:God of Thunder were amazing - got #9 of dark and the first 2 thor - did they restart the regular series or is that just a mini series?

Yeah, Thor is an ongoing. Marvel is relaunching a number of their series as part of their Marvel Now initiative. So far, Thor has been the only one I've liked, but you might like others. Most of them should be great jumping on points.

As or other DC books, since you like Lemire and Sorrentino, I recommend checking out Green Arrow when they both take over the book in February.

If you're interested in indies, Saga is an amazing series. It's written by Brian K. Vaughan with art by Fiona Staples. It's only on issue 7 right now and you can download the first issue (which is extra long) for free on Comixology. It's definitely worth checking out.
    Current favorites:

    DC: Smallville, Supergirl, Detective Comics
Marvel: Ultimate X-Men, Scarlet Spider, X-Factor, Thor
Other: Saga, Angel & Faith, Buffy

Get the first 14 issues of Wonder Woman and Justice League Dark.

Out of the new Marvel Now series, I loved Matt Fraction's 1st issues of Fantastic Four and FF. Hawkeye by the same writer is an amazing series as well.

If you like intelligent comics that you want to go back and reread everytime a new issue comes out, you might also want to get the immensely satisfying Batman run by Grant Morrison : http://forums.comicbookresources.com...1#post15940675
Jean Grey : What makes you such a bitch, Emma?
Emma Frost : Breeding, darling. Top class breeding.

Outside of Batman, my fave three DC books are:

    1. Aquaman. Great art, and Johns really seems to have nailed down an interesting tone and approach to make the character interesting.

    2. Wonder Woman. Azzarello's depiction is by far the best I have ever read of the character. A great, great book that is also tonally very different from the rest of the new 52.

    3. The Flash. A fun, well put together book that looks great.

Well, if you like it you can suggest the trades to others, so if it has good trade sales, DC might give another chance at some point.
Also if you like Frankenstein, he'll be on Justice League Dark from now on.

As for Marvel books, the NOW! books are a good jumping on point. Thor: God of Thunder, Indestructible Hulk and FF were really good! Daredevil by Mark Waid is 19 issues in, but it's worth checking out.
Saga is a great indie book. The first trade (issues 1-6) is out and after that there's only one more issue, so it's pretty easy to catch up.

Yeah, I just picked back up Justice League Dark after it's crossover from I, Vampire and it's a lot better now. I really like it.

I also highly recommend Batwoman and Wonder Woman too. They're both really great.
