The Black Cat Appreciation Thread!!

Who's a hater? Just because I'm willing to be honest with myself and admit that Marvel rips off DC with alarming frequency doesn't mean I don't like The Black Cat as a character. I think she has real potential and occupies a unique role in the MU - as Spider-Man's only girlfriend (not Peter's, Spider-Man's). But I think her characterization is wildly inconsistent from writer to writer which makes it much harder to appreciate her.

But from the most part what I can see in this thread is that the reasons most people like the Black Cat are:

1) She's physically attractive.

And that's about it. Or would folks like to list all of the reasons they like the black cat besides what she looks like?

She used to be Spider-Man's girlfriend. Although I wouldn't mind if the Black Widow becomes Spidey's next girfriend.

Read between the lines. And it was Joe Quesada who wrote the story; not Dan Slott regarding OMD. His artwork tells the tale while his words does not.

I was referring to the notion that Black Widow and Spider-Woman could be used as an alternate crime fighting partners to the Black Cat respectively. And neither Jessica nor Natasha are irrelevant in Spider-Man's world anyone than Black Cat in either Daredevil or Hawkeye's world. Besides, Felicia hasn't appeared in Spider-Man's world in over a year right after Spider-Island. And she was to have appeared in Ends of the Earth along with Venom. But neither of them were available. Thus, the Black Widow and Silver Sable were used in their place. This is what I called an alternative to the Black Cat.
