I've gotten around to reading issue 1 and am so glad to have something as cool as Fearless Defenders available. I'll definately re-read it over the weekend. It's nice to see Val and Misty in what looks to be such a well crafted book. A strong foundation seems to be getting layed for a great new series here. I knew this issue would rule once I saw Val's taste the rain page and the rest did not disappoint.

My thanks to Cullen Bunn, Will Sliney, Veronica Gandini, and the rest of the creative unit of Fearless Defenders. I'm onboard here for sure.

Unfortunately the one that will be exquisitely illustrated (by the incomparable Phil *the Thrill of my life* Jimenez) is an AoU tie-in which has somewot to do with the "regular" book sort of, but not really...and it's priced at 3.99...so that is a definite "no".

After seeing that cover, though...I do wish Jimenez would move over to the regular title...seeing as how Brooks is a nigh impossibility.

Oh, I love this cover!! Some who is good with photoshop or someother image program has to take this cover and play with the outfits and show us Val in her different looks! These Mark Brooks covers are just amazing each month! I know Mark isn't one for a monthly, but if we ever get a .1 on this series, I would love for Mark to do the interiors for that one issue!!


OK, I'm not sure about AU yet. Could be good, could be meh, but I am curious and while I have no real desire to pick up any of the side issues/stories, I will definitely be picking up 4A.U. We're going to focus on Hippolyta and learn more about LaFey! Plus it ties into the current book! I'm sold!! Sweet cover with Doom's head in her hands!!
